Gotcha!

Today is Lil K's 1st Gotcha day anniversary!!! Wow, a year ago, we were driving to go pick her up. I was beyond excited and the joy was over flowing! It was a long drive and it seemed that we kept running into traffic slow downs. As the day went time, it was getting later and later, and I was more and more anxious! We all were! Then we were there! OH MY! What a moment!!! In the below collage, you can see the very first picture of the girls together. We were blessed to have grown our family! Not only with the addition of our sweet baby girl, but her foster family, as become not only great friends, but an extended part of our family, and K's God parents. It is wonderful!!! All three pictures were taken in the first 2 days of Lil K being with us!

What a year! She has grown so much! She has learned so many things, and we have made tons of wonderful memories! Memories to last a life time! She is beautiful and silly, and wild! She is little miss independent and loves to do anything her big sister is doing! She is talking well and can put together small sentences! She loves outside most of all, just the place this picture was taken yesterday!

Today we celebrate the 1st Anniversary of Gotcha Lil K! We love you so much!!!!
Hugs and Blessings,

Congratulations on the 1-year anniversary! Lil K is such a doll.

I had the sweetest 3rd grader in my classroom one year. Seh informed me that she would be absent the next day b/c it was "Heffernen Day". I was very confused until she explained that "Heffernen Day" was the day that her family celebrated her adoption!

I just thought that was such a cute idea and that this little 8-year old had such a healthy outlook on things!

Many blessings to you and wishes for happy years to come,
Valerie
