11 years
We just celebrated 11 years!!! (Dec 4) And Momma, he's good!!! As the Carrie Underwood Mama's Song says!!! I couldn't have picked a better soul mate, if I had tried! God truly knew what he was doing, when I didn't follow my check list anymore! Btw, if you haven't watched the movie The Ugly Truth, you should! It's a lot like that. I had this check list, and my Mr Right, wasn't at all my check list! Instead I am blessed even more! Now I have the GREATEST best friend, my soul mate, partner, my everything!!!!

Gotcha Twice!

WOW! Just to see the sisterly love! It amazes me!!! I love both these girls so much, and see how much they love each other! What a beautiful blessing!!!
It's Lil K's 2nd Gotcha Day!!!! Can you believe it! 2 years ago, we held her in our arms for the very first time, but she had long been in our hearts!!!!! We officially picked her up on the 20th (yesterday, her 2nd Gotcha Anniversay), but today is the 1st day the courts have it documented for the first day we had "Custody" of our Little Monkey!!!!

I just love this picture! She was busy doing just what big sister did!!! You can see how excited she was to stand on the bridge wall like a big girl!!! We had stopped by are favorite old spot at the Park to see the ducks.

Silly Pumpkin Monsters
Today we had gone to Wal Mart and while there Lil E found these cute lil pieces to make faces on your pumpkins. Well there were different sets to pick from, but we had to have these silly crazy monster face ones! What better way to celebrate Lil E's Gotcha Day!!!! WOW!!! In 2004 Mommy flew there, and got to you about 11 at night, and held you in her arms for so long!!! The sweetest moments ever!!! Now it's' been 5 years and look at all you have become and all you are! YOu are my sweet sweet baby girl always!!!! Your Mommy and Daddy Love you very much!
So after we got home, we had lots of fun! We decorated our pumpkins!

Gotcha!
Today is Lil K's 1st Gotcha day anniversary!!! Wow, a year ago, we were driving to go pick her up. I was beyond excited and the joy was over flowing! It was a long drive and it seemed that we kept running into traffic slow downs. As the day went time, it was getting later and later, and I was more and more anxious! We all were! Then we were there! OH MY! What a moment!!! In the below collage, you can see the very first picture of the girls together. We were blessed to have grown our family! Not only with the addition of our sweet baby girl, but her foster family, as become not only great friends, but an extended part of our family, and K's God parents. It is wonderful!!! All three pictures were taken in the first 2 days of Lil K being with us!
What a year! She has grown so much! She has learned so many things, and we have made tons of wonderful memories! Memories to last a life time! She is beautiful and silly, and wild! She is little miss independent and loves to do anything her big sister is doing! She is talking well and can put together small sentences! She loves outside most of all, just the place this picture was taken yesterday!

Gotcha
WOW O WOW!!! Today is a 4th Anniversary Gotcha Day for Lil E! What a special day! I flew to where she was being cared for. When I arrived there, she was so upset and fussing. She had been for a couple of days because of her shots. I picked her up and instantly starting talking to her and rocking and singing to her, and right away she rested and went to sleep. They said I was the only one who had calmed her down in days. She just needed her mommy!!! Time has flew by and I tell you what, I am over joyed to have my girl! She is getting so big and growing up into such a special young lady! One of her favorite things to do is bake, so today we did just that! We made some cookies! Then she picked out dinner! It was truly a special day! But more importantly my life is special because of the gifts from God I have received! Adoption is truly the most precious blessing! God knew all along!

I can recall the very first black Friday her and I went shopping! She was still so tiny. She was a lil trooper! She got many ooes and aahhs and smiles! But it was just such a sweet day!

Yesterday (Dec 4) made 8 years for hubby and I! I am so very blessed! I trully have the most wonderful husband! We beat the odds and are happier today than we ever dreamed we would be! It's wonderful to have met my best friend and soul mate. And better we both love Christmas! So we are enjoying all the fun of the Christmas Season. I was looking through a Christmas cookbook today in planning some Christmas baking. I found this recipe and thought it would be wonderful to make and bless others with.
Christmas Smores Bars in a Jar ~
1 ½ c. graham cracker crumbs
1/3 brown sugar, packed
1 ¼ c. red and green candy- coated chocolates, divided
8 Christmas Tree or Snowman Marshmallows (peeps)
In a one quart wide mouth jar, place graham cracker crumbs; press down crumbs with a wooden tamper or back with a spoon. Add brown sugar on top of crumbs, gently pressing down. Pour ¾ candy coated chocolates over the brown sugar. Arrange the marshmallows inside the jar standing up and facing out; gently press them against the glass without mashing. Pour remaining chocolates behind the marshmallows. Attach gift tag with instructions.
Instructions ~
Empty contents of jar into a large bowl. Cut marshmallows into small pieces; add to bowl. Stir until well blended. Combine ½ cup melted butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Add butter mixture to dry ingredients, mixing well. Pat into a greased 9x9 baking pan; bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
What a simple and yet yummy gift! And it would be too cute for sure!
Happy planning your gift giving this Christmas Season!
