Pinned it, Made it Monday

I haven’t participated in sometime. And I thought it was fitting and a great way to help me get back into some more regular blogging.

So last week while baby sitting, and taking all the kiddos to the VBS (at the friend’s Church), I needed some easy dinners. So I decided to do this cheeseburger sliders.

Pinned:

They were pretty good, but I have to say I prefer a grilled on the grill burger.

Please check out my friend’s blog and link up for Pinned it Made it Monday posts.

Hugs and Blessings,

A week with our Family

DSC_0415

this is Bud, and he is with Aunt Kim. Isn’t he beautiful! The girls love to feed him treats and snacks. I have finally got to a place that I’ll feed him.

You will quickly see we spent so much time swimming… Smile

Monday we had a sisters day. It was me and my girls, and both my sisters. And various nieces during different parts of the day. Something we had not done in a long time.

First day of swimming was Tuesday at Aunt Lala’s. Love her beautiful yard and wall to hide the pump and all.

the girls were scared of the water and unsure. This is nothing new. I finally knew we had to do something. A dear friend that has a special needs child said it to me, that if I can teach her to swim, you need to teach the girls. You are doing all of you an injustice in letting them and feeding their fear… It took some time to sink in, but for some reason it finally did and it was time for them to swim.

It didn’t take to long! And everyone was happy as could be!

Aunt Lala has some beautiful poms. They are beautiful! And so funny.

But Aunt Lala also keeps her granddog, Brisket. He is too cute!

After a day of swimming at Lala’s, we were back at Aunt Kim’s and they needed to swim more. So they were busy playing in Puppy’s pool.

Wednesday we didn’t get any pictures, but we spend the day shopping with Aunt Kim. It was lots of fun.

On Thursday we went to my friends house and the kids swam. It was lots of fun!

The week was busy and not so busy all together. It was really good and much needed! hated the allergies we all had there, and sure didn’t like the humidity! But it was good to see everyone.

Saturday we shopped a little more with Aunt Kim and picked Daddy up from the airport. Then dinner and back to Aunt Kim’s.

Sunday was a wedding and that blog is coming separate.

It was my first trip back after saying good bye to Daddy. it was really hard and I sure do miss him and my Momma, but it was a good time too.  It was very much needed time with my sisters and healing for us together too.

Hugs and Blessings,

Family Reunion

We went back home in May for a family reunion! It was lots of fun, and yet it was very hard. It’s my dad’s family and I sure did miss him not being with us! But it was great fun! The kids had fun! And I’m really thankful to have this relationship with the family and wish we had done this sooner.

Oh do you see the was the leader of playing in the water fountain! All day! She climbed up there and taught the other little ones, how to spray the water at everyone! I’m not to sure all the other parents will appreciate that, but they had a blast and were making memories.

Here’s a picture of me and my sisters.

After being with the family all day, I was really missing my parents, and grandparents. On the drive back to where we were staying we took the scenic route and went some some places that held a lot of great memories.

the above house is were my Grandparents lived! The bushes were not there and I can remember sitting on the porch and the Easter Egg hunts and so much.

This is the little Church that my Grandparents attended. We even had many dinners and get togethers there for all the family, as there was more room for us all, in the Fellowship hall.

So it was a very emotional time, but one of comfort in the lasting memories of my amazing family!

This was our 2nd annual family reunion, and I am really looking forward to many more years and family reunions. I think it’s really important to connect and keep making memories.

Hugs and Blessings,
