It's finally time for us to start with redoing the girls room here. Since moving in, we had planned on painting their room, and I had it all planned out without changing up everything we had. Staying with the same theme of flowers and butterflies. Things have changed, and I am so excited!!!
I always wanted to do a cowgirl themed nursery, but we were so poor for extra expenses, when we were blessed with Lil E! Then the girls were sharing a room when it came to Lil K and I didn't want to change out the theme, as we had special pieces that were really special. But now that we have moved and it's time to paint, Lil E is busy bugging me about what kind of room she wants. I kept saying you can help me pick things out, but we aren't changing everything out. She has asked and asked for a cowgirl room, or other idea is for a race car room. We were at the Mall with Patti and the boys and she wanted a cute picture frame that says "Thank Heaven for Little Cowgirls" and a new pretty cross to go in there! And asked again, can I please have a horse or cowgirl room. So i said to her, you can pick if this is what you want. But what you tell Momma now is what we have to stay with! If you could pick any room you wanted, what would you want it to be. And the answer was .........
Cowgirl!
So she won! Mommy did get that frame that day and then we found the bedding. It has actually arrived. We have to get the bed and then I get to start painting and all that fun stuff! I am so excited and really over joyed about this! My wish is coming true, just years later when my princess was about to pick it out!!!
Above is the bed sets.... We will not be getting a few more pieces in the set, but not all of them. Will add the curtains, and hamper, but will be doing our own wall decorations.
Below is the bed we have all agreed on for the girls room.sOBLsqlusebQ~~_3.jpg)
I can't wait for the work to start. In the next few weeks it will all start to take on the new look! We have to finish removing the layers of wall paper before we can even paint in there. What a nightmare! I can't believe people were so lazy to put wall paper over wall paper over wall paper! It's all good! Walls will be pink and trim will be brown! I have my eye on some vinyl wall art and custom letters for the room too! I am so excited!

Welcome June and room update.....
Happy June to yall! We welcome June and are happy to see changes coming in our home! And as we struggled with what we were going to do and all. We were not sure about the bed situation and all that! What do we do? We weren't sure to move Lil K to a toddler bed or go ahead and move her on to a big girl bed. So it was back and forth and all that. But we did reach our decision, Lil E will stay in a toddler bed, but has one to match the crib. Then we took the side rail off the crib, and put the safety bed rail on for Lil K! This will keep her in the same bed until she is ready for a big bed! And Lil E wants that really pretty room, she so she is back to sleeping in her room again! She had gotten back in the routine of sleeping with us, so for us to paint their room, she has to be a big girl and sleep in there! She did it last night! And it was so nice!!!! Both girls got up this morning at the crack of dawn! So they are busy playing around now.
Lil E's bed now!
Lil K's bed.

Just thought I'd share the toy deal in the corner near the closet! We did a little rearranging in the room too.

The entertainment center with all kinds of goodies and such.

And took this picture with the decals on the shelf and the little precious moments babies and the picture frame with the girls picture in it.

It reads ~ "Miracles, Life is filled with wonder and endless joy, and every ordinary day is made up of a thousand miracles."

Then they were up so early this morning. So Mommy said, it's not time to get up, and they wanted to lay down together, and I took this cute sweet picture of both of them.

The Girls Room

I found this great blog and awesome weekly tour of homes. Click on the banner and it will take you to Kelly's Korner, the hose of "Show us where you live". I decided to take part. Even though I'm late at posting for today! There are many great rooms to tour! This week is Children rooms and/or nurseries! So much fun!
Here's the girls room. These pictures are last summer when we first got Lil K. It pretty much looks the same! We are in the process of deciding what we are going to do, about moving them to bigger girls beds.
When we first found out about Lil E, I wanted to do a theme that we could carry on and add and remove stuff as we desired. But that if we had favorite pieces they would carry through too. So we decided on butterflies and flowers! All though, we did change out the crib set and getting 2 matching sets for the girls, they still go with the original theme!
Here's a quilt that Mamaw (my mom) made for the girls! Both girls have their own. Both have Bed Time prayer on them! They are so special and I love them!

First you have Lil K's bed and the window. Lil E wanted the purple for the main curtain, and her daddy let her have her way! I'm ok with it.

The Believe sign is by the door and over their little kitchen! They love this kitchen!
These last four pictures are from today, to show a few more touches in the room! On top of the shelf, is the 2nd of the signs for the room, this one is Dream! And behind it is a Precious Moments lap, that use to be mine! My oldest sister bought this for me years ago to add to my Precious Moments collection.
Above the shelf, the Imagine (the 3rd sign in the set) hangs on the wall!
Last is the wall near the closet. We have the coat hooks that I had painted and put the decals on way back. And then the picture that is about Miracles! It was the first picture we had for Lil E's nursery! And then more decals on the wall!

Thank you so much for stopping in to see the girls room! We are about to paint the walls pink or something. Just have to decide what we are going to do about moving to big girls beds. We are considering bunk beds and all to make it look even better!
Hugs and Blessings,
