Nothing a Little Duct Tape Wont Help!

Daddy and Lil E have been busy working on the race car, when we are actually home! We have spent a lot of time away lately. Between looking for a new place to live and the time with our family. But whenever we are home, they are busy working on it. Daddy wants to get the the body off the other car onto the race car, before we move.

Anyway, Daddy was driving Mommy's car one night, and he hit something on the highway! Of course it damaged (cracked) the front bumper cover and the piece under... All the sudden it got worse this week, dragging and the crack is now fully busted!. Daddy put it back up the day before and said he thought it would be alright, OH BUT it wasn't!!! You know we live in the boondocks! So it's not like we always have the smoothest terrain! (Yes, I know, why do I have a small care in the country?) Really, we are an hour from a Wal Mart! We were in a town that had a Wal Mart, (not much more either!) all the sudden it started dragging again, and when I stopped the split was over doubled in size! I'm like what I am to do???? My friend says, do what we do back home (meaning Oklahoma), and duct tape it!!! I laugh, but really what else could I do? So I called Daddy and told him what was going on and he said to go ahead and tape it until he could patch it this weekend! (We will soon be getting it all fixed up at the dealer!) So Mommy had to go Redneck, and DUCT tape the car! !!! I ran into Wal Mart to get some duct tape, and now that there are so many colors to offer, was looking for black! But NO, it was a shiny silver chrome like color, bright colors, a really ugly camo (looked like a bad photo shop project), traditional grey, or this fashionable cheetah print! Since no matter what was bought, it was going to show up, it was decided (by mommy and her friend) to be the most fashionable with the leapard! Now purple was a close 2nd, because it could have been used for the race car next year! But I wanted to be a fashionable redneck! Check out these other prints and colors of duct tape available!!! I really wish they had had that zebra printed tape, that would have been what I bought! No doubt about it!!! But the tie dye one pretty much matches my bowling ball! Oh wow, they even have a PINK line that supports BREAST CANCER! WOW! Now I need to find me some of the pink line products! They can be used for our upcoming move! (no this is not a paid advertisement for Duck tape, this is a true story about our day yesterday!)

After we got home, I decide, that since Daddy hurt Mommy's car, how about going ahead and numbering his race car for him!!! You guessed it, with my new leapard duct tape!!!!!!!!!! So do you think he will like the colors? ;)

Even Lil E helped me!!!!!

So there you go, my fancy duct tape work!!! and I'm sure you are wondering just what he thought, well he laughed, and said he knew before it was over, I was going to play some sort of trick on him, so this wasn't as bad as it could have been! hehehehe He said I should have done the purple, it would have matched not only his race car, but the checkered flames on my little puddle jumper!

You never know just what we might be up to around here!!! But not matter what, we try to have fun, even in the less than desirable situations! From this fashionable redneck, hope yall have a fun weekend!!!!

Man do we have it bad around here????

How bad do we have it, I ask myself?? I can't believe how bad my Lil E really has the racing bug! That girl loves racing, maybe even more than her Momma, and I have to say that is something that I never thought was possible! But, I'm here to say, she may really have it worse than me! What a mess!

Finally here to share those pictures I promised a couple of weeks ago, plus some other new ones. But they go together so well! It's all about racing for her, as you will see below!

Oct 9, it was a nice pretty fall day! After making cookies and all we decided to go outside and play! And guess what is they are playing! Now don't let that wagon full you! It's not just any ole regular wagon, it's Lil E's super fast red race car! And she pulls her sister all around and way fast! Lil K decides often it's too much for her and bails out! Lil E will run as fast as can and it doesn't matter over what terrain!

Since sissy bailed, she takes advantaged of the time, and makes a much needed pit stop.

The bubble mower is now her jack, to raise the car!

She is totally hard at work out there! She has to get it fixed for the next race, she says.

Lil K wants no part of racing with Lil E so he takes the baseball bat and is playing golf! Who would have thought my wild and crazy toddler wouldn't want anything to do with racing with her sister!

Fast forward to Oct 21! Once again, we are super busy racing! But this time it's much more!!!

All I could say was OH MY, I'm in for it!!! Lil K is giving Lil E a push start, just like in the sprints! Then Lil E would race as fast as she could!

They were racing each other for a bit even!!!!

But at this point, I knew, she for sure was much worse than Momma! For the non racers, in sprints we call the the it bicycling when you only are on one side, and let me tell you, this has become her new favorite way to ride, oops I mean race!!! She would keep on and on and ON getting it up on one side!!!! Momma is in trouble here!!!! I foresee a Racer in the making!!! (but really it makes me so happy!!!)

Wait, we aren't done, she parks her race car, and is going to push sister (Lil K) in her car! I'm shocked! But it wasn't but a few inches, and Lil K was bailing out! She isn't a fool, she knows her sister is pretty extreme!

I laughed so hard this day! I couldn't stop! I was hurting I had laughed so much and so hard!!!!!! It was a riot!!!!

Oct 26, and we are at it again!!!! This time, check it out, Lil K is racing with her big sister!!!! Yea!!!!

But now it's time to work on the race cars in the pits again! Now our jack stands are basketballs! What a hoot!!!!

This is the product of hard work on race cars! She let me know she looked just like Daddy and the other people in the pits!

So there you have it! This is how we spend most of our time outside playing! Even if for a few, we usually are playing racing in some way or fashion! And this Momma is beaming with smiles!!! And usually lots of laughs!!!

The girls are my everything, and it makes me so happy to see them be so creative in how they play too!!!

Hope you enjoyed a little glimpse of our backyard racing!

Been a busy couple of weekends around here.

The last two weekend, Daddy and Lil E have been so busy working on the race car! It's actually 2 cars, to make the one. Either way, they have been busy. It's all they have been doing. It takes me back to when I was a kid, and my daddy was busy building on race cars! Guess that is why I love them having this special bonding time too!!! It is awesome! And it teaches her so much!

Above, they are hard at work, and below she is pretending she is the winner!!!

And then today, here they are below back hard at work! Oh wait, Daddy was taking a break for a second, while Mommy was out there talking to them, and sneaking a few pictures.

Lil E was making sure she kept busy! She had a blast again, and was way dirty again! But that is ok, because we think dirt is good for you!

You wont see many pictures, posts, or updates about the race car here, (you can find them on our racing blog though) but I just had to share how busy they have been, and what our weekends have been looking like around here!! I am so excited about the race car, and can't wait for it be all ready for next year's race season! I want my girls to love racing, just like I do! And I hope and pray it teaches them the things it taught me, like hard work, dedication, loyalty, determination, how to cope with frustration, not to ever give up, to try harder, a good healthy kind of self pride, self esteem, good sportsmanship (ok, mommy has to still work on this a bit), how to follow directions, to work together, about good times and hard times, and even bad times, about problem solving, and proving the need for math, science, and much more! And how you can do all this and keep your faith all at the same time! And I pray that the girls both learn this!

Hugs and Blessings,
