Our Sunday Afternoon

As you can tell by our video in the previous post, we were having a wonderful Sunday! The girls were busy playing. Then we all went outside to work on planting the garden.

Daddy was busy gathering the goodies we needed and giving wagon rides. So everyone was happy as could be!

So far we have planted onions, cucumbers, squash, tomatoes, bell peppers, and jalapenos. Then we are adding cantaloup for sure, and not sure what else.
Lil K had fun playing out in the garden, but even more fun playing with this old doll of mine! It's almost her size. But she loves it.
And we made a yummy dinner on Sunday! We had brisket, rolls, potato salad, and scalloped corn. It was all so very yummy!!

Daddy's Scalloped Corn (this is a recipe hubby brought into the marriage.)
5 cans of cream style corn
1 - 1 1/2 sleeve of crackers, crushed
1 stick of butter
3 eggs
salt and pepper to taste

Pour corn into a casserole dish. Stir in the butter and eggs. Mix well. Add salt and pepper to taste. Then stir in the crushed crackers. Bake uncovered on 350 for about an hour and a half. Stir at about 45 minutes to an hour into baking.

Everyone loves it and asks for the recipe, and then they are amazed at just how simple it really is.

We have spiced it many ways, chopped onions, grated cheese, bacon pieces, and such. Not to say any was bad, but we have agreed, trully it's the original way that we prefer.

Hope yall enjoy the recipe and have a wonderful week!!

Hugs and Blessings,

Garden

How many of you will be planting a Garden? We are so excited. This year we will be planting a garden. It will be the first since living here. I can't wait. I know for sure we will have tomatoes (as they are Lil E's favorite, and I need them for many things), onions, bell peppers, and jalapenos. Those are the for sure items. I am excited to see what else we do plant. I'd like to plant some black eyed peas and squash too. Hubby and I decided this weekend, that we are having a garden here.

I spent some more time scrapbooking over the weekend. I'll share some pages with you soon. For dinner tonight, we had grilled chicken (BBQ'd), cheesey potatoes, and baked beans. It was really yummy! Tomorrow I am going to make some chicken enchilladas, but it will be with a new recipe. I can't wait to try them out. Plus I plan to make hubby some lemon cookies this week. Tomorrow is suppose to be really pretty out, so I'm sure the girls and I will head to the park from some play time. And the girls are getting their pictures taken this week too. I can't wait. I'll be so very excited to share them with yall. What's on your agenda this week?

Hope you all had a beautiful Sunday and may you have a wonderful week ahead!

Hugs and Blessings,
