Day 24, Favorite Scripture

Day 24 ~ your favorite quote or scripture and why

2 Timothy 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

This is one of my favorites! And in the process of adopting the first time there was a point of the birth mom going back and forth and this and that..... And I was totally distraught and scared of this not working out for us, because no one on earth could love my Lil E like we do! My dear friend calls me out of the blue and says I have a message, God has laid on my heart, and just know you aren't to be in fear any longer!!! I was like for real? And that night in my sleep this scripture was spoken to me in a very powerful voice! I knew that at that point, I was not to have fear, but to let God handle this, just as I had always been taught!

In so many other times, this is a scripture that gets me through.

What about you? What's your favorite and why?

Day 19

day 19- write about a sweet memory from your past

WOW! How do I pick just one? I can't!

The day, I knew my husband was the very one!!! He had stood by my side at the hospital, while we were dating. He told them we were married! He and I went through some really yuck stuff on this visit, but he never left my side and made me feel so very safe! I'm forever greatful for him and for this very time!!!

Then I want to share a sweet memory about my Momma! She was the most wonderful person ever! She truly the sweetest and most giving soul! She had a special way about rocking babies. Last year at Lil K's adoption she was so tired, and need a nap, but wasn't going to let anyone rock her! She let Mamaw (my momma) rock her, and Mamaw was the ONLY one that she would let rock her! It was so sweet! And right to sleep Lil K went!

But the sweetest memory ever was the first time I held my girls! They are my everything and I'm so thankful that I am blessed with them! After years of infertility, the lack of funds to afford adoption, and the many heartaches to be a parent, the day came, it was the very first time I got to see and hold my precious baby girl! Lil E was fussing and needed that cradling love, and I scooped her up and just held her and rocked her and tears ran down my face!!! What a joy!!!!!

Theres a few my my sweetest memories. What are some of yours?

Day 17 and Day 18

day 17- someone you would want to switch lives with for one day and why

I wouldn't trade my life with anyone, not even for one day! I am so thankful for who I am! And I am thankful for each of the blessings in my life. I wouldn't be who I am without each part of me being the way it is.

day 18- plans/dreams/goals you have

This is a harder for me. As I have become a wife and a mom and everything I want is for my family! i want to see my children be happy and successful and most of all break the cycle in their biological family. I want to do everything to make things better for them. I want to see my husband live his dream of driving a race car. I want to settle down and stop moving around so much! Work has been good for hubby, but the transfers are old! We are ready to put our roots down and be able to buy a place. I want to one day have a small photography studio of my own! And most real for myself, I really want to be a Scentsy Director!

4) A keepsake cookbook, full of precious and treasured recipes from my family and friends! Especially the ones from my mom and grandma's.

What are you favorite books?

Hugs and Blessings,

Day 11 and 12 (a lil late)

Ok, I am late, as I have been out of it for a couple of days! Let me share something you think is safe that could happen to anyone. When we moved, we bought one of those corner shower caddy's. So it's from the edge of the tub to the ceiling. So I spaced my shelves out, and I thought I had it done pretty good. Starting at like 2 ft, 3 ft, 4 ft, and 5 ft... That left a few feet up top, and the couple on the bottom. Well I am laying back in the tub to relax in my bubble bath, and BAM! I've been hit and then there is a couple of more! What the world! Well it was the stuff on the top self, and the first and worst hit was the jumbo sized shampoo and conditioner bottle, plus a couple of others. My ear is bruised and swelled up! But the knot on my head was horrid! After a day and half of horrid headaches, blurred vision, and so sick at my stomach. So a trip to the ER was in order. And well the outcome, is a concussion, sprained neck, and injured ear, with the blood draining from it to create a ear infection. Even though I have been sick and in pain, I am so very thankful that my girls weren't the ones there when it all came down. I mean really! It could have been a way worse outcome. So my advice to you, is not to set your shelves up that high, and watch what you put on the higher shelves. Things around our homes we don't think about how they can really hurt us or those we love, but household accidents are some of the worst and most deadly. And as I have heard of many other accidents lately from around the house, it really has me thinking about safety. Just take this into consideration and look around your house to make sure it's as safe as possible.

Ok, now on to the day 11 and 12.......

day 11- write a bucket list of things you want to do before you die
day 12- write a poem to someone you love

Day 11 ~ My Bucket List

Watch my girls grow up to adults
Be a grandparent
Watch my husband and girls race!
Travel to Australia
Meet a few friends in person that I have been online friends with for many years!
Go on a mission trip with my family.
Become a Scentsy Director

Day 12 ~ my poem

My heart did yearn
For my child I did Pray
I asked for years
for God to bring you my way.
A child I did desire
not any, but you
adoption was required
for me and you
to forever be, mommy and child!

There's a poem I just wrote, for my girls! Adoption is a give from God! They are my greatest blessings! And I could never have imagined, how awesome they would be, and how much better my life would be! I am so thankful for them!!!! I love you girl, both of you so very much! And so does Daddy!!! We are blessed to get to be your parents!

Songs on Day 10

day 10- songs you listen to when you are happy, sad, bored, hyped, mad

I can't believe it's day 10 and it's all about songs! As anyone that knows me, knows I love music!!! And a very big and wide variety of music!

When I am bored or want to clean, i love to jam to 80's!

But some of my favorites are Gimme that girl, by Joe Nichols, and who are you when I'm not looking by Blake Shelton. But my most favorite for love is All I ever needed by Bret Michaels.

Just a happy fun song for me is Ala Freakin Bama.

But I love Christmas and Christian music too! So it is just a wide range!

For sad songs, its stuff that reminds me of my mom or other sad moments and times. Sissy song by Alan Jackson, the old gospel song The Lighthouse, or songs about moms.

What about you?

Biggest Impacts

Today is day 7 and it's a picture of someone/someplace that has had the biggest impact on you. Well I couldn't just share a picture, it had to me more than that.

My parents have had the biggest impact on me! I can't even begin to tell you how much they have each impacted me, as well as made me who I am!

They always showered me with unconditional love and lots of praise! There was never anything to big or to small of importance, that you couldn't talk to them about. Nor was there anything ever to bad or to good to tell them! It was a totally open relationship! They always encouraged me to follow my heart! To know that God was with me no matter where I was! And they believed in me! They made me feel like I was really something special, yet I wasn't the most popular kid in school. I wasn't the prettiest, skinniest, or even the smartest. I didn't have the most dates, and even when I did date, I had more restrictions than most kids my age! My parents were considered way old fashioned! (funny though, that all my friends wanted to hang out at my place with me and my folks). Yet I was taught all my life, that if I wanted something, all I had to do was to dream it and believe it, and it could be mine!!! It was that simple! I was taught self worth, work ethics, that if you didn't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. And yet, I was taught, to fight for what I believed in!!! Stand proud and hold my head high with pride! I was taught to defend my self when needed! I was taught that I was worth more than settling! I was taught there was no such thing as step/foster/ adoptive in either the children or with the parents! I was taught life wasn't always easy or fair, but it was worth the ride! They were there in my darkest times, and my brightest and best!

Mom taught me to cook and bake. There is no body that can make pork chops like momma!!! Everyone would come running and bringing in more pork chops for her to cook, so that they could eat too, just because they heard it was pork chop night! She shopped with us like no other! And she had a keen eye for style. She would take us places and do so much fun with us! She would take me and my group of friends to the week long country fair every single year! She would do crafts with us. She taught me to paint. Mom is who I get my artistic abilities from. She would bake for everyone and feed a crowd on near nothing! She would give you the shirt off her back or any out of her closet! She was my ride partner at the carnivals and ameusment parks! She was the most loving and supportive wife! She was the GREATEST momma and mamaw ever! She showed me that, even though it's the hardest, doing the right thing and helping others was the way to go. She was the ultimate care giver to everyone she knew! She baby sat and showered those kids with love until her dieing days! She loved our friends as her own kids! Many called her Mom! She was the worlds Mom and Mamaw, but she was my Momma! She showed me how to love unconditional and how the sacrifice of motherhood was so worth it! She showed me that I deserved real love, just like she had with dad! That didn't mean perfect pretty roses every day, but it ment unconditional forever love! She showed me that no matter what else I was doing in life, that I wanted to me a Mom and Stay at home like she did! To be the meanest momma bear out there when it came to someone hurting or messing with my sweet cubs!!! She had the most giving and helping hand! She showed me how important real friendships were! And she was the brightest light for Christ on Earth. She is who I get my love for music from!! It moves the soul!!!

Dad taught met to get dirty! To ride go-karts and atvs. To love cars, especially racing! Dad taught me that your family is most important and you fight for them, you protect them! You do everything you can for them! He really showed me that kids are yours, alll of them are yours, no matter how they became yours! He taught me my love for racing, he made sure it ran deep and would forever flow through my veins! He taught me that it was ok to be who I was, just to make sure it was what and who I wanted to be. He did everything for us! I will never forget the first car accident I had, the fear and worry I had about disappointing him, and when he walked in the room to see me, he said "baby girl are you ok?" I said the car isn't as I was crying! He said "I don't give a shit about that car, all I care about is you! That car doesn't matter one bit! YOU ARE ALL THAT MATTERS!" And he meant it! At the drag races when I couldn't see over the crowd, (mind you I was in high school, and not a small girl), he would pick me up, so that I could see what they were doing! Yes I wanted to be a mechanic and drive race cars! He would fix us hot dog roasts with bond fires, and work all day and come help us with school projects! He never faulted me as he 19 year old daughter how was dating a man 11 years older than her, who had 3 kids. He said if that is what I wanted, to remember that I choice those kids as mine, if I was going to love him, and to love him was to love those kids! Funny thing is, I will forever love those kids! He let me be me and make my choices and yet he was there to support, encourage and, guide me without ever judging or putting me down! He taught me to never give up, and that just because medicine says it's not possible that ALL is possible with GOD!!! He showed me how to be humble and share is own miracle while never forgetting to praise God! He showed me how I wanted to be loved by a man, by the way he loved my mom! He loved her more than most can ever really realize! He showed me what kind of dad, i would ensure my children had! (Thank God they do!) He is the most loving Grandaddy and would do anything for any of his kids or grandkids! He is so proud of his family!

So when they say I am just like my mom, well they are right!! And when they say I'm just like my dad, they are right again!!! I am totally both of them, in good ways and bad ways too! I am who I am because of them!!!

Momma and Daddy I love you both so very much, and forever will!!! Yall are my everything! And I thank you so much for everything you ever did for me and every thing you taught me! I appreciate it so much!!!!! Yall are the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Momma may be an Angel in Heaven, but she will forever live on through me and in my heart forever! Daddy will be always be with me too! I'm so thankful I still have him here on earth us!!!

THANK YOU, MOMMA AND DADDY! I LOVE YOU BOTH SO VERY MUCH!!!!!!

A place I have been

Day 5 is a picture of somewhere you've been

I really didn't know if I wanted to pick a fairly recent place or some place from years ago. Then I decided I would pick some place we have been recently. We have only taken several mini short trips. Mostly here in Texas.

One of my favorite places has been within a few hour drive from us for the last several years! And I just love it! Palo Duro Canyon! Here's some pictures from two different trips this past year. I hope to go in the fall and winter this coming year! I just love it!

These first group of pictures are from last spring.

And now you are going to see from the summer.

One of my favorite parts of each trip is the wildlife we get to see! Here's a beautiful deer just watching us!

And this beautiful picture below was taken from inside a cave by hubby! If you look close down at the road, to the right you will see a silver van, and that is where I was with 2 sleeping babies!

If you ever are in that part of Texas, you really should stop and take a visit! It's beautiful! And these picture do it NO justice!

bad habits on Day 4

Today it's not my favorite topic.....

day 4- a habit that you wish you didn’t have

It's not hard to know what the one habit, I really wish I didn't have, was! It was a true no BRAINER! I am a worrier! I worry so much! I worry about people and their feelings! If someone I know is not their self, I worry, and often myself sick. If someone I know is being hurt by others, I worry! If someone is having a bad day, yes I worry! I want peace and happiness so bad that I trully worry until I'm sick! So there it is, my biggest habit I would love to change!!! (and I am really working on this).

Snow day picture from childhood!

Today is Day 3. Yeah! It's a peaceful Saturday Morning here! I didn't have many pictures available to use today for this, the ones I had were pics with my cell phone of some pictures. So I am very sorry that it's not a good picture!

day 3 ~ picture of you from childhood

There you have it, a picture of me in the snow, probably around 1980, I am guessing. My love of the snow started long ago! But man look at those clothes and shoes and coat. Well, what you can see of them! It cracks me up!

I just love snow, it's beautiful, magical, and I love to bundle up! I really love how life slows day and usually stop to enjoy life. Well at least were I am, we do when it snows! We have fun days in the snow; making memories that will last a life time!

Job 37:5-7 ~ 5 God’s voice is glorious in the thunder. We can’t even imagine the greatness of his power. 6 “He directs the snow to fall on the earth and tells the rain to pour down. 7 Then everyone stops working so they can watch his power

Happy Saturday to all!

Hugs and Blessings,
