Thankful Thursday

Day 21 – Thankful for those surprised blessings in life. Some may be small and tiny, but they are all special! I loved getting surprises in the mail.

Day 22 -  Thankful for adoption!!! Nov is adoption month and yesterday National Adoption Day. I always knew I wanted to adopt. And I am so thankful that it was my calling!! Like I tell my girls, it was how Jesus was raised, so it's that kind of special!!!!!!!

Day 23 -  I’m so thankful for my nap! It was much needed!

Day 24 - Thankful to see my daughter letting go and enjoying life!!!! Thank you Jesus for this answered prayer!

Day 25 – Thankful that even with a moderate concussion my sweet princess was not hurt worse. Thank you Jesus for being with her.

Day 26 – Thankful for RAK's from those sweet people we don't know. We were meeting a friend at a Mc Donald’s, not to far from home, as they were traveling near. We had a birthday gift for their daughter and them for each of my girls. The girls were sitting down so nice and about to start eating. Well a nice man walked up and started talking and asked if we were having a Birthday party, as we explained to him what we were up to. He made a little talk and said for us to have a Happy Thanksgiving. A few later the Shift manager came out and said for us not to leave, they were baking us fresh chocolate chip cookies for us to have to celebrate Birthdays! And a bit later they delivered us a dozen fresh and warm chocolate chip cookies! What a special treat and blessing!!

Day 27 - Thankful for the family time today with us all four cooking. Great memories made that will be forever cherished!!!

Day 14 - Thankful for my girls. They are my world. No matter how hard or crazy it may be.  I love them, and sure couldn’t imagine my life without them! Today wasn’t the easiest day with them by any means, even down right hard! But no matter what, I’m so very blessed and thankful to have been chosen to be their mom!!

Day 15-  I am thankful for the amazing friends I have! I really am blessed with some of the best!!! I am so glad to have them in my life! In the last year, things have really shown me who I can count on and who not. Far apart or right near by, my friends really are amazing!

Day 16- I’m thankful for the snow!! I love snow and wish we actually had more, but it was beautiful to watch it come down.

Day 17 – Thankful for dinner time together! I love that we get to eat most days twice a day all together as a family! It really is wonderful!

Day 18 - Thankful for the sillyness by my girls!! I love how silly they can be and they have so much fun doing it! It makes my heart happy watching them have that kind of fun and lots of giggles.

Day 19 – I’m thankful for our home! It may not be as big or as nice as some places in our past, but this is better because it's ours!!! And so cozy and wonderful!!! It's really home, where our hearts are!

Day 20 -  I am thankful for heat!!!! I like that we are able to stay warm.

Thankful Thursday

I am going to be sharing each week in November my Thanksgiving Thankful Challenge on Thursdays. This way I can blog and not feel pressured daily.

Day 1 - I am thankful for our little family of 4!!!! I can't imagine my life without hubby or the girls. We really are a great family! I always wanted more kids and a bigger family, but God has a plan, and honestly I know that for now our family is complete!

Day 2 - I am thankful for the day of rest that God gave us. I am thankful for all he created for us. It's really magnificent!!!!

Day 3 - I am thankful for my salvation! My eternal life!!!! It's not from anything I did, but what Jesus Christ did for me!!!! He died and rose for me and you, all of you! I can not imagine going through life and no having a relationship with my Lord and Savior!

Day 4 - I am thankful we live a free country and still have the right to vote. And even more thankful that lots of elections went the way I wanted them to go.

Day 5 - Thankful that hubby and I are not apart in location this year, like we were last year!!!! Last year were were states away and missing each other something terrible!!!!!!

Day 6 - I am thankful for the best parents. I miss them so much. I still want to call momma first thing when I get up. I want to call daddy each night to remind him take his meds. I want to tell them everything the girls are doing. Or what is going on here. I know they both are not suffering but I miss them so much. More than words can ever say. I was really blessed with the best. They taught, encouraged, and guided me to be the person I am. They loved my James and girls so much. Both momma and daddy were each a best friend to me. We had lots of fun and great times. They were always there when I was sick or hurt or in need for anything. Or just there for life. We could do nothing and yet have the best of times just being together!

Giving Thanks–Day 11

Today I am thankful for all that have served or are serving our great Country. I wish we as a country would show more appreciation to them throughout the year, not just on Veteran’s Day. Without them we sure wouldn’t be in the same place today! They have given so much to keep us safe and free! Be sure to thank a Veteran, not just today, but everyday.

Giving Thanks–Day 8–Day 10

Day 8

I am so thankful that my niece came to visit today and that we were able to spend the day together! It was a very nice treat, and I really did enjoy doing crafts together. It was a wonderful day!

Day 9

I’m thankful for the prayer warriors in my life! No matter what the need is they are always there and ready to pray. It doesn’t matter if I call, text, or use social media they are there and willing to send up some prayers!

Day 10

I’m thankful for the freedom to choose which Church I want to attend to worship our Lord and Savior. This means so much to me, that we are not forced to worship in a way we do not believe.

Giving Thanks Day 3–Day 6

Day 3 -

I'm thankful for my Momma and Daddy!!! They were the bestest parents in the world!!! And I hope that one day my kids will say I was half as good as my mom or my daddy! I will cherish my memories of them forever!!!! And they will forever be with me!!! I miss them every day, but days like today, I really need them!!!!!! I'm so thankful that I have all the memories, the unconditional love from them, and that they were the two people WHO ALWAYS had my back!!! For the things they taught me, and for even the temper I got from them!!! I'm so glad for the things we got to do together. And all the fun we had!!! Most of all for them teaching me about God and that he loved me no matter what!! Not to mention that I could talk to them about anything!!! They made all Holidays more than you could imagine! And I am thankful that we shared so much with our hobbies and all everything we did!! They taught me to be the person I am and to help others!! They also taught me to love our kids no matter what, and there is no such as labels (step/adopted/etc). God really blessed me with outstanding parents and I am so thankful for them!!!!

Day 4-

I am thankful for every bump in the road, every obstacle, every bad patch or day, for my struggles and trials. They have taught me, helped mold me into who I am, and make me appreciate life more. Including yesterday that was an exceptionally hard day.

Day 5-

I am thankful for my precious daughters!!! They are our world! I love them more than words can say!!!

DSC_0192a

I love that I get to be their mom and that no matter how bad of a day it may have been, they can make it all better with a sweet hug!! They are so different and so much alike. Loving and sweet and wild and strong willed and fun and spunky!!! They light up our world  in so many ways!! I always wanted to be a stay at home mom, and I’m so glad that I was blessed with two wonderful and special daughters. They are a true gift from God! I love them forever and always and then some!!!!!!

Day 6 -

I am thankful for the real and true friends that are there for us no matter what! That love us through our bad times, just as well as the good times! the ones that don't judge us for being who we are or the way we are!!! I'm loud and stand strong in my opinions and beliefs, James is completely who and how he is, and our girls are precious and loving but wild and rowdy!!! But it's the true friends that love us as we are and are there no matter what, that make life much better!!! It's these friends that I'm beyond thankful for!!!!!!!! Thank you dear Lord for blessing our lives with these real friends that are the family we pick!!!

Thankful–Nov 1

I am thankful for new beginings. James' new job. For the move. The future we will all have there. All this is a blessing from the Lord. It all came together in his timing, not ours. But I am so thankful for this gift to our family. I am looking forward to a better life for us in many ways. Surrounded by many friends and family! Not to mention around people that are like us. I just know that God brought all this about to bless us so much more than we can imagine, and I’m beyond thankful for each and every part of this! It’s been a sacrifice in some ways, but will be more than worth it in the long run.

Day 14 – 26 of Gratitude

Horn of plenty background

I am going to count it backwards….. Sorry I got off here. I kept up on my personal facebook, but I haven’t been at the computer much, and blogging via the mobile app, just doesn’t do it for me. Be sure to click the banner for other Gratitude posts.

Day 26 - I am so thankful for the closeness I have gained, the openness, and friendship with my cousin, Lena. I hate we missed out on a lot over the years, but hope the 2 of us, never let that happen again! I love ya so much! More than ya know! Thank you for being such a blessing!

Day 25 - I am thankful for the Truck Drivers that keep this Country going. They transport supplies of all sorts. They get the goods from place to place, so that you and I can enjoy what we want and need! Without them delivering the goods, people would be without jobs in many areas. They are a vital part of what makes this country work! Not to mention in this crazy time we live in, the dangers and threats they face. SO thank you to all the Truck Drivers out there!!!!

Day 24- I am thankful for the Christmas Decorations. I get to sit and enjoy the twinkling lights, the pretty pieces, and the every so special pieces that can never be replaced! After getting rid of so much, I am really enjoying the simplicity of what we have out! I am thankful for the peacefulness and beauty I get to enjoy, as well as all the memories that the pieces spark!!! Likes though special gifts from those near and dear to us, or the pieces my hubby painted me, or those that were my dear Momma’s and Grandmother’s. What we have is full of special memories and lots of love!

Day 23 - I am thankful for hubby's time off and the time we get together. He works long hours and never complains, and misses out on so much that is going on with the girls and myself. I really couldn't ask for more. And it makes the time together so much more appreciated. It was great to have Thanksgiving yesterday, and then today and all weekend together. And in a month another 4 day weekend and a 2nd to start the new year!

Day 22 - I am thankful for the most awesome memories made this Blessed Thanksgiving Day. Our family cooked and baked and laughed together. It was one of the best days in awhile. Each of the girls had a special one on one time helping mommy! Just Mommy, Daddy and the 2 girls did the all the cooking, but it was wonderful. We had an awesome Thanksgiving together, plus our friends joined us for a nice visit and yummy food. I am so blessed and very thankful!

Day 21 - I am thankful, we caught our friends dog. We were dog sitting and he got out. We chased by foot and car. I cried so hard, I am sick. Ran faster than I ever have. No matter my battle scars and wounds, I'd do it a zillion more times. All that mattered is that sweet dog was caught and safe. It crushed me. And yet then was so thankful.

Day 20 I am thankful to have my Little Bit back home!!

Day 19 - I am thankful to the ones who took care of my sweet fur baby. as she was missing, and ended up in the city pound! I was beyond devastated that she got lost. My sweet baby girl is 12 years old and blind. So she was really lost.

Day 18 - I am thankful that my hubby supports and encourages me to do what i want, craft! He is awesome! And often joins in on the creations! We are a great team!

Day 17 - Today I am thankful for adoption, it made me a momma! Btw, it's National Adoption Day. Without adoption, i wouldn't have my girls. My heart would ache. I know so many that were adopted, and can't imagine them having other parents. And I know so many blessed to have their children via adoption. Most of these would never have known parenthood without adoption! We may not birth these children, but they are ours! We love just as much as biological parents do. It really is a beautiful blessing! And I am here to say it's a special gift from God. I am honestly thankful adoption was the route he choose for me. Happy National Adoption Day!

Day 16 ~ I am thankful for a special love I witnessed for many years! A love that was unconditional! It wasn't just a love between and husband and wife, it was a love between them and for their kids and later their grandkids. It was truly unconditional and real! There were never no labels, not step, not yours/mine, not adopted. We were all theirs and that is just the way it was! They stood by each

other through it all. It wasn't perfect, it wasn't fantasy, but it was real and true, and something I have and always will aspire to keep. I watched them hurt for each other, and for all of us kids and grandkids and great grandkids. And they were always there! For the good, the bad, and everything in between!! They took in their son in laws and grand son in laws, just as if they were their own kids and grandkids. And today I am really thankful of this great example of what love is and should always be!!! I can't ever say thank you enough to my Daddy, Bobby and my Angel Momma, Tommie. They really are the BEST and showed by example of that special love that is rare!!!! I always knew that I'd never marry unless I had that kind of love, and I am proud to say I do. We are really close to making 13 years of marriage, and it's been far from pretty and sure wasn't easy. We have faced some really hard times and lots of set backs, but we have always come through. And never gave up our love for each other, or our children! The 1st trip to the hospital that, James, stood by myside, and it was nasty, scary and icky.. He stayed right with me.. 17 long hours and then carried me home and cared for me, I knew that I had that special rare love that I had witnessed and dreamed of!!! We get on each others nerves, we are both hard headed, and we often both want it our way! You could say the hard to love song is both of our theme song at times, and as I said the other day She aint right, but she is just right for him, is true! I couldn't be with anyone else! There is NO OTHER that could make me this happy, love me the way he does, love our kids and my parents the way he does! I am truly double blessed to be part of that special kind of love! Once as a daugther, and 2nd as wife and mother!

Day 15 - I am thankful that my friend told me of what has been going on at our local wal-Mart. I am thankful of that, because i knew this morning, when the stupid guy tried to get me. I am thankful he didn't. I am thankful my husband came packing, to walk me out and protect me. ....  Beware and do not let your guard down. It was 9:15 in the morning!

Day 14 – I  am thankful for the littlest things in my life! The ones that mean nothing to anyone else, but mean tons to me.

Hugs and Blessings,

Day 4 and Day 5

Day 4 - I am very thankful for my family, those by blood and the chosen ones. I can't imagine my life without them. We may not always see things the same way, but we do love each other unconditionally. And the times we are together are spent making priceless memories. Like yesterday, my sister, her grandson and I sat and played skipbo while making a yummy dinner, here at my dad's. Or when Grandma and our Aunts visited us last month. We had so much fun. We didnt do much, but it was great to play games and hang out.  I am very thankful for them and our times together.

Day 5 - today I am very thankful for my parents. Yes my Mom is an angel watching over us, and my dad's health is fading fast, they still are and always will be a super huge part of who I am, and who I will always be. They have always taught me I am worth it, I could be what I wanted, and I could do anything that I wanted. They taught me to never give up, to fight for what I believe and wanted, and to always do the right thing. They were always my biggest supporters and cheerleaders. They have always been there through the good and the bad, standing by us.. They love their son in laws, just as they do their daughters. Not only are they the greatest parents ever, but they are wonderful grandparents. I wouldn't be who I am today without them.

Day 2 and Day 3

Day 2 - I am very thankful for the blessing of my wls. It really has saved my life. I did not realize how bad off I was. I thought I was doing pretty good, even though I was so sick. But never realized just how terrible shape I was in.  NOW I can do so  more with my family. I am able to be a better mom and wife. And I feel so much better.

Day 3 - I am so thankful for my precious girls.  They are our everything, and such a precious gift via adoption. They are what keeps me going and striving harder to make this world a better place. They are my greatest joy. They are why I do all I do. They bring us so much pride and happiness beyond yojr imagination! Its the littlest things. I love yall both with all I am. And I always will.

Day 1 of Gratitude

Horn of plenty background

I’m have not been faithful in blogging and have wanted to get back into blogging regularly, but it has been out of my habit and not always what’s on my mind. But I am taking this challenge in hoping this will help me.

Today I am thankful that I am blessed with a husband that is all about our family of 4, and gives me a helping hand! He helps out so much without me even asking. He helps with the kids. Just this past Sunday, we were up getting ready for Church, and I had not been feeling so good for several days. Bless his sweet heart. Even though I had other outfits planned, he tried to select the outfit and get them all dressed, so that I could just finish off their hair. He is always doing stuff. I hear from many of my friends, if he could teach her hubby or if I could clone him. I mean I try to do so much for him and out family, but it’s so awesome that he will just do whatever he can for me or us without anyone saying a word to him.

WOW, I can’t believe it’s been 2 years

momdeal

2 years ago today, my Momma grew her heavenly wings! She had wings here on earth, they just weren't seen so to speak, but felt by many.  I never knew a person could hurt so bad and so much, as I do. A Void that no one else can ever fill.  Some days are more bearable, and others are not so. What I wouldn't give for some more time with her.  She was the GREATEST Momma and Mamaw!!! She is the reason I am who I am today. She is also the reason I always wanted to be a stay home mom. I wanted to do what she did. I hope, that I can have half as much of an impact on my babies, as she did me! She was so much to me! I miss the nightly good night phone calls, I miss the good morning, how are you feeling today calls. I miss calling her and asking her how to do something or make something. I miss picking up the phone when I was mad at James or frustrated with the kids, and she would be able to calm me right away, like NO ONE else can! Or when I needed someone to just listen! She was the best listener! I miss our late nights playing games. Or clearance shopping! Btw, I did a little of that today. I have this dear friend (Deanna) who reminds me of my mom in some ways, well her and the girls and I had lunch and went out clearance shopping. I did find me a few tops. I said, I shopped this way today, just like my Momma would have. She taught me well. I miss so much, the little things the most! Like just chilling out! We had a great time together! And she was the GREATEST person I have ever known! She loved my girls like no one else (besides hubby and myself). I miss the closeness she and James had. She was the Momma he never really had. She taught him lots, and they had a special bond. When he was working nights, and she would get up in the middle of the night for a potty break, she would often call him. Those calls would be so simple and caring and go something like this “I was just calling to see if you were doing ok. If you are getting sleepy I can talk to you.” Sometimes it would be brief, and others they would talk for awhile. The girls miss calling her and being so silly! She was fun and would do the silliest things with the kids, heck with us all! From singing crazy songs, or dressing up silly, or letting you put 50 pony tails in her hair (that’s where Lil E gets it), or maybe the time she put all the birthday hats on her head and around it at once. She is one of a kind! She is a RARE and special gem!

Today not only did us girls do some shopping, but we celebrated her life at dinner time, but talking about our favorite memories and such. Each one of us talking about things. It was teary and happy! It really beautiful. I want the girls to know as much about her as possible.

I am thankful she is out of pain and able to rock the babies, her precious great grandsons and her first born beautiful daughter. Who were all there waiting to greet her two years ago. But I would so much prefer her to be here with us! I have a promise to see her again, and oh what a day it will be!! And I’m thankful for this gift of salvation, and ever lasting life I have waiting for me, because of our Savior Jesus Christ.

Momma there isn't a day that I don't wish for you to be here with us! You are the most awesome and wonderful person! There is so much I want to call you on the phone and tell you. Well I tell you lots now, but I wish I could hear you for real, not just know what you would say.  Thank you for being all you were to all of us. And for loving my babies the way you did. Thank you for teaching me so much and guiding me through life. I can't imagine where I'd be today, if it wasn't for you. I find myself more and more like you every day, and I thank you for this! It makes me so proud to be like you!! I strive to be like you, and to keep your memory alive with the girls, especially K Bugs. She was only 2 years old, you know just the age I was when Memaw passed and you kept Memaw alive so well for me. And it helped. So I hope that I can do the same for K Bugs. You are always with me, in my heart, but I want all the little ones to really know you. Not just a vage memory. I really do, strive to be like you! You are in all our hearts forever! And Missed more than words can say. I thank you so much for instilling in me to never give up, and that I could do anything! Thank you for loving and helping James the way you did. You are the BESTEST Ever!!!! WE love you so much!!!! Always and Forever!!!!! I love you Momma!!!! I miss you!!! I love you!!!!

WOW The rest of the month of Gratitude

I'm so very sorry for the lapse in posting... I just haven't been in blog land.. But I wanted to finish my Gratitude post. I did it on my facebook, but didn't get it done here all the time. I had hopes to right longer posts than little blurbs like this. But once I fell behind, I really became overwhelmed and then before I knew the month is ending. I hope you enjoy the rest of what I'm thankful for.

Day 17 ~ I'm thankful for fall! I love all the colors changing and the leaves falling! I love pumpkins and pumpkin patches. I love hay rides and everything fall! I love Thanksgiving and that everyone is full of thanks! And this happy time takes me right up to Christmas time! It's perfect!

Day 18 ~ I'm very thankful for the gift of weight loss surgery. 6 months and 97 lbs gone. I'm very very thankful that I was blessed with the surgery. It has saved my life in many ways. I feel so much better, and didn't realize just how crummy I was feeling. It has improved my migraines so much. And even the Psuedo tumor cerebri is like almost gone!!! It has already done more than I ever imagined.

Day 19 ~ I'm thankful for a special friend that always has the words and messages to deliver to me. Not just messages of encouragement, but a different connection. She is more than a friend, but like a sister! One of the most beautiful people inside and outside. The biggest hearts I have ever seen. She is always helping others, even when she is in great need herself. She has struggled years with many health issues, but manages to still keep going and not giving up. Despite the struggles and hardships she has dealt with. We have a deep connection that many will never understand or get. I couldn't be more thankful to have her in my life! She is a special aunt to my kids, and the most open and loving person. She doesn't trust easily and doesn't consider many to be real friends, and to be one of her real friends even means more.

Day 20 ~ I'm so thankful that I have a husband that helps me. Not only when I am sick or down, but all the time. He is so helpful and i'm thankful, as I see many friends struggle because their hubs do not help.

Day 21 ~ Today we got some much needed rain! And I'm really thankful for it. We are in extreme drought.

Day 22 ~ I'm so thankful that I found my wedding ring after I lost it earlier today. I had been so sad and crying and crying. But after calming down and prayer, it was found! Thank you, God!

Day 23 ~ I'm thankful for my friends. They are very important to me. They are part of my family. Each one holds a very important place in my life. Not only are they blessing me with the usual friendship way, but they make life grander in business too. I really like that I get to work with them in many different areas. I'm very thankful for the lost friendships that have been restored, and some even grew stronger. For those that were brought back to me, after being apart for just going to different ways and paths. I love each and every friend and I'm really thankful for them.

Day 24 ~ I'm so very thankful for the Thanksgiving Holiday, were we are all giving thanks for the many blessings in our lives! Wish it was the normal way of life and last all year long.

Day 25 ~ That we were able to put up our Christmas tree as a family. It was really awesome and full of memories as we went through our ornaments and they carried us back through time, and we were busy making new memories decorating the tree.

Day 26 ~ The last few days (Thanksgiving weekend) have been low key, full of family time, and lots of relaxing. It was perfect! We didn't travel and no one traveled here. We just made our own super special thanksgiving and then spend the weekend doing family things together without stress or hussle and bussle. It was wonderful!

Day 27 ~ I'm thankful that we have the inside Christmas decorations up~ I love to just sit and look and enjoy them! I love the lights, the knick knacks, the nativities, the gingerbread men, the snowmen, the memories that each one holds and that I get to go back to those memories when I sit and look at the goodies.

Day 28 ~ Birthday's. They are each persons special day and full of fun and memories as we celebrate.

Day 29 ~ I'm thankful for God's Word! For God working it out behind the scenes so I don't have to worry. Today in Bible study, I was given scripture that confirmed to me, that even when many don't agree with us, we are doing the right thing.... (many don't agree with growing our family or homeschool).

Day 30 ~ Today I am thankful for Scentsy! It has been a big blessing to our family. The business has been a help in time of need. I'm thankful that I was able to reach my goal this month! And I'm so excited to for my delivery tomorrow of my incentive warmers that I earned this summer! I'm so thankful that Scentsy brought a childhood friend back to me! I'm thankful for the new friends I have made. And I'm thankful to part of a company that really and truly believes in making the world a better place! I'm thankful that Scentsy has me striving to be better! I can't say enough good about Scentsy, the products and what the business has done for me and my family!

A lot of Gratitude ~ Day 11 - Day 16

This has been started for a long time.... finishing it up now...

Day 11 ~ I'm very thankful for every person that has served in our country's Military! Without every Veteran and Current Service Man and Woman, we wouldn't be have and be what we are. They protect not only us! They sacrifice so much! For you and Me!

Day 12 ~ I'm thankful for my family!! Everyone of them, good and bad! I'm thankful for the time we had this day together and the memories we made! It was wonderful and much needed!

Day 13 ~ i'm so thankful we got a van this summer. It is much better because we have so much more space. The girls aren't in each others space. It it really wonderful.

Day 14 ~ I'm so thankful that the Christmas movies are playing and we are watching them all the time. Not a surprise as I watch them all year long.

Day 15 ~ I'm so thankful for our Women's Bible Study each Tuesday morning! I enjoy the fellowship and learning together and through each other. And learning by their example and through their experiences. It is such a blessing!

Day 16 ~ I'm thankful for Pinterest! I know it may be silly to some, but it has given me some great inspiration of things to do and create for my family.

Day 10 ~

Day 10 ~ Today I'm very thankful for a particular positive family, that are great role models! The Duggar Family. (and I know some don't agree, but this is my view and opinion). I'm thankful for very positive roles model for myself, my family, and most importantly for my kids. The Duggar Family! Michelle Duggar inspires me to do better and work harder, be that patient, that kind, that caring, that faithful, and to have a servant's heart! I admire how they live their life with such high morals, even when the world is busying putting them down. They are a self made family. Very polite children. Great values. All educated with the art of music. They are humble and give back generously, and are all about volunteering. Great work ethics. The kids are raised to be self sufficient and independent. They have a beautiful family. I love how they raise their children the value of courting to get to know one another. That is how it should be. Creates a stronger relationship and one that will last. Not one full of lust! .... So to those that love us and make fun of how "old fashioned and extreme" we are in the way we live and teach our kids, just know I have a successful family of role models that show me it does pay off! And I'm so thankful for this very positive example. And before I hear they are crazy about baby 20, I do not agree! I hear it about us taking a 3rd drug baby and dealing with the system again. But It's what God wants for us. And also, if my mom had given up because of a bad pregnancy and listened to doctors, there wouldn't be a me or either of my 2 sisters that are living! There would only be a sweet angel sister in heaven. So it's their faith in trusting the Lord that really is remarkable to me and so beyond awesome!

Day 9 ~ Quiet Time Rocks

Tonight I am sharing my day 9 Gratitude. It is really simple, but was a GREAT blessing to me today. I am so thankful for the quiet time I had this morning! I haven't had a lot of real quiet time, in a long time. This morning Lil K went back to bed for a morning nap. Lil E returned to school, and well I folded laundry and watched Grey's! It was perfect! I could pause the tv and it be silent in here. It was just perfect! I am not a me time person, and so this came as a big surprise for me to really enjoy it like I did today, but I did and I'm so thankful for it. It gave me time to refresh and feel better with all that has been going on too. Time to even spend some extra time talking to God! It really made for a great day all the way around....

Day 8

I'm so glad to be able to participate in the Gratitude Challenge and not only share my gratitude with all of you, but give my thanskgiving to God! Check out others from today.. Go on over to Garden of Learning...

Today on Day 8, I'm thankful that God gave me my sweet hard to handle girls, because this way I know they are taken care of, and not being hurt. I know this may found strange to many of you. But I'll explain a little... There is great controversy on how to discipline a child, what is right or wrong. What is abuse. What God says or doesn't say...... And I personally believe God is not a mean God and that he is a God of gracious mercy, a loving and forgiving God who wants his kids to live abundantly and in victory! And in my opinion this doesn't come with mean force, but with nurturing loving and special care that is given and taught by the promises of a beautiful life and word of God. I don't take part in this stance by some Christian leaders, that it is ok to "Beat" or use excessive force to teach the child a lesson. I wasn't raised that way, and even though I see many that believe it, I don't. I don't take any part of it. But I hear from these I know and some that I don't know, that if I'd tighten up on the girls they would behave. If I'd "whip that butt" the tantrums would stop. If I would do this or that..... And then I hear stuff like this "OH MY Gosh, I'd kill myself if my kids acted like that." or "I'd BEAT her if she was my child, I'd never let a kid of mine be like this"... And "You are going to have to toughen up and show them who the boss, and put the fear of God in them, or they will be just like their bio mom!" ..... Really? OH MY, that's what people have come to think and believe! I would get outraged at these people for all they would say to us or about us. And be so upset that how could such Christian people think this way. Then the more things have come to light lately about the teachings of some Christian Leaders, it has reminded me that these people don't know any better. They are following what they are taught. And today It just hit me, that I was so thankful that God blessed us with the adoption of our girls! They are perfectly perfect for us. Even with a tantrum and wild side. But today I had a different thankfulness for them, and it I'm so thankful that God gave them to us, so that I have peace and know that the girls are safe and in a place without harm to them! Because what if my sweet girls where with other families and being hurt. I hate for any child to be hurt or abused, but it just clicked today, that is why they are mine! That's why God helped me with my past in the medical field and in day care, so that I would have the knowledge I needed to help and understand that these issues aren't issues the girls can help. In my opinion, I don't think a young child just decides to be bad and ugly! And so again with all this, I am so thankful that I have my girls and know they are safe and not being harmed!!!

What about you?

Hugs and Blessings,
