Crock Pot BBQ Sandwiches

Thank you, Sandra, for hosting Slow Cooking Thursday! I love it! As I really love cooking with my crockpot! (you can click on the picture or her name to be taken there and find many more awesome crock pot recipes.)

BBQ Sandwiches

3 lb beef roast
1 pkg of Onion Soup Mix
2 - 3 cloves of garlic, chopped, or pressed
1 tsp ground black pepper
2 cups of water
1 bottle of bbq sauce (any kind you like)

Put your roast in the crockpot and top with onion soup mix, garlic, and pepper. Top with water. Cook on low for about 8 or 9 hours. Remove and shredd meat. Return shredded meat to the crockpot and pour in your favorite bbq sauce. (We use KC Masterpiece of Sweet Baby Rays). Stir all together and mix well. Turn crockpot up to high and heat for 45 minutes to an hour. Serve on buns with pickles and onions.

We love this version, when we are not making a brisket. It's always a nice easy meal and goes great with potatoe salad.

Hugs and Blessings,

Sounds delicious. We should send a bottle of our favorite local BBQ sauce to one another!

My Aunt and Uncle live in OKC, OK and my cousin and his wife (their son) now live in Dallas. It is the perpetual BBQ battle (KC versus TX) around our house! :)

Blessings to you,
Valerie
