Scalloped Potatoes and Ham

Scalloped Potatoes and Ham


1 small onion, diced
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. flour
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 1/2 c. milk
2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
6 cups of cooked sliced potatoes (I peel, slice and boil them)
1 lb ham, cut up


In a skillet over medium heat, sauté onion in butter; stir in flour, garlic, salt and pepper. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until thickened; mix in 1-1/2 cups cheese and stir until melted. Remove from heat; add potatoes and toss to coat. Add in ham. Spoon into a greased baking pan and top with 1/2 cup of cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, until hot and bubbly.
My family has always loved scalloped potatoes and ham, but this recipe is such a simple and easy and every so yummy version! Hope yall enjoy!
