Get your Kicks on Route 66 ~ Our Show

Kelly and Kelly's Korner is the gracious host of show us your life! It's always lots of fun to check out! This week is Show us your daily life! So that is just what I will do. Click on the button and it will take you there to see all about others busy days!

Our life is busy and full of chaos lots of days, but it's our life, and to me it really is the GREATEST! I'll give you a brief update (for any new visitors), I'm a stay at home mom, who is blessed by adoption! We are currently going through our second adoption!

Our life is full of many wild moments and adventures throught out each and every day! There aren't many dull moments around here! And we have said for a long time I'm the ring leader to this 5 ring circus! (Thank you, Dad for this title).

Lil K is my alarm clock, and she gets me up around 7 am every morning! She and I get up and I feed her breakfast. Then we play around and read a little bit. Then it's bath time for her. Mommy tries to do a couple of things. Then about 9:30 or 10 am Lil E rolls out of bed. She gets up and eats her daily breakfast, a banana and sometimes toast or a half of a peanut butter sandwich. As she watched Clifford or World World. Then we all start getting ready for the day! Daddy arrives home around 12 or 1. I make us lunch and we sit down as a family for lunch. We spend a bit of family time together! And daddy rushes off to bed around 2 or 2:30.

At this time, it's pure chaos and differs for each day. I make my Scentsy deliveries, sort Scentsy, run errands, doctor appoints, go to the grocery store or anything else that has us hopping and busy!!! This is the time of day we go get our daily happy hour soda, and if we are all done with everything and the weather is nice, we play at the park! And if we are lucky enough to be at home, there is no telling what we are playing. We really love playing outside! Somewhere in here, I have started a load of laundry and I am need to change it out now.

(this the order I was working on, labeling and seperating on Wednesday)

(then Thursday it was delivlery day, and so we took a break for a little bit of play time too)

By 5 we are settling down. The girls eat at 6 or 6:30. I get Lil K ready and she is off to bed about 7 or 7:30.

Then Lil E practices drawing and writing and all the big girl things she likes to do alone. And has her bath time. Mommy has computer time, and starts getting stuff in line for Daddy for the night. And then about 8:30 I start dinner or daddy and I. I wake him up around 9pm and he gets on the computer while I finish off dinner. We sit down and eat, and talk about what is going on. We watch a show if have dvr'd. Then Daddy gets ready for work and leave here around 11pm at night! Lil E is my mini me and a little night owl! She kisses daddy bye and settled down with our night time stories and gets ready for bed.

I spend this time cleaning the kitchen, playing on the computer and doing anything else I still need to do. and if I can watch something that is DVR'd. And with 2 busy little girls, I'm always on the go, that's for sure. And you never know what they will be into or doing!!!

It's time for me to do any devotional and get myself ready for bed! What time you may be asking yourself? It's about 12 or 1 am. That's a day in my life! And I treasure my one on one time with each one of the girls! One is a morning flower and the other my little night owl!

WOW, where o where did the month go????

This will be a really long post of our life and what we have been up to........ I have missed everyone and all! I hope this finds yall doing well and staying warm.

First off I want to say Happy Birthday to my Mom today! She is the most wonderful and loving person! She has the biggest heart of anyone I know! She would do anything for her family!!! She use to rock me at night and sing to me! I can still her hear singing Walking in a Winter Wonderland, and all the time I thought it was a lullaby! Or I'm in the Lords Army! And the ever so sweet sound of Momma singing Jesus Loves Me, to each one of us! She taught me so much and I love to go home and have Momma make chicken friend steak or chicken tenders, yes homemade, and there is nothing like Momma's! She taught me the love of crafts and to heart of helping! She is who I get my temper from, and who I get my servants heart from! Each line and wrinkle has a wonderful story to tell, from the heartache to the joy! But each one is so near and dear! And I have never seen anyone worry for her kids and grandkids like she does! Or anyone be as strong is she is!!!!! As a teenager, all I wanted was to be a mom, so I could be just like mine! Happy Birthday, Momma! I love you!!!!!! We love you!!!

(this is a pic of Momma and Lil E 2 years ago, but it's still one of my favorites)

We started out Feb with lots of snow! And for the first time this winter a NICE wet thick snow!!!
We had lots of fun!!!! We made our first snowman as a family!

Eyes are Red Mega Blocks! :)

This is my most favorite picture of this snow though! I just love the way it was on the trees!

On a little warmer day, we went out and about for some picture taken! One of my favorite past times, and Lil E loves to model it up for me! And Lil K is really getting into it.

YOu know we have to do some baking too! So it was cupcake decorating time! And the girls really had a great time!

We love game nights! And it's the best fun! But I am in shock that my baby is growing up to be a big girl and play big girl games with us! We were playing dominoes with her!

Another snowfall for us, and this a view out my back door! I love where I live and love the beauty that is all around me! It is remarkable.

We did venture to see my folks on the 11th for a few days! And what should have been a 6 hour drive, grew to be about a 9 1/2 hour drive. So it was not near as bad as what we sat through on Christmas, but it was lots of snow coming down and blizzard conditions often! We did make it safely though, and were so happy to see my family!!! We had a GREAT Time!!!

Here is a view of a Church we pass before you get to Wichita Falls.

Another view on our drive in.

Daddy's project in hte snow! It was so pretty to see the snow falling there! Record snow fall for their area! (10 to 12 inches for most of the Dallas/ Fort Worth area).

This is the beauty we awoke to on Friday morning!!! So beautiful and peaceful!!!!

Then it was out to play with my oldest sister and her 2 grandaughters. And look at these two precious snow angels!

It was back inside, and Lil K and playing patty cake with baby Conner (my great nephew) in Grandaddy's lap. It was the funniest and cutest thing!

Then the kiddos stayed with my parents and my sister and I headed out for a day together! We went and ran some errands and went shopping! We laughed and had the BEST time! It was so sweet!!! I was so glad to have spent that time with her!!!! Then we all hung out and had dinner at mom and dad's that night!!!! Mexican food! OH YUMMY!
On Saturday it we set off to spend the afternoon with my other sister and we had a Mary Kay class for a friend! We got there, and they had had 13 inches of snow and most of their town was still without power (Red Oak). This is her house and their HUGE snowman! I had so much fun seeing on the North Texas Snow Creations, as they had so much character!

After the fun day, we had to head home.

Big sister was being so sweet and helping Lil sis play with Lil E's guitar! She told her, to sit in the chair and she would help her and teach her! AWWWWW!!!!!

Then last week we had some more snow! And look at what Lil E is busy doing, she is ice skating! Can you tell we have been watching the Winter Olympics?

Mommy and her snow bunny!!!! :)

Then I guess my sweet toddler tornado wanted to put some make up on Wubz! Yes she did color on the cat with a nice blue sharpie!!!

Friday, I was inspired by something I read to accept what we are given by God and be thankful, even if it wasn't what we thaught we wanted... After this, I called a dear friend who I knew would understand what I had to say and appreciate it! We cried and laughed and decided to meet up for lunch that day! And that is what we did! Oh how awesome it was! We laughed and chatted and talked! It was a GREAT time! We met half way between where we lived and at lunch at this little hole in the wall mom and pop restraunt. It was really great! They even had a little table there with colors and coloring books for the kids! So our kiddos had a great time! They are the best of friends!

After lunch, we headed to the park for the kids to play! It was a little chilly and windy, but a beautiful day and a most awesome time we had!!!

After the day out, when we got home the girls were ready to play outside some more!!! So so they did! They laughed and played tag and even cooked in the dirt! It was the best sound for an afternoon this momma could have heard!!!!

We had a nice weekend here at home! Saturday night we watched Marley and Me, and oh how I loved the movie! It was so touching in many ways! What an inspiration!!! Sunday we did some cleaning and started removing wall paper (the top layer of wall paper) from the girls bedroom. We are getting ready to paint their room pink! And we may just have to add the sparkle stuff to the paint! I am so excited for their room to be complete and best of all, Daddy will be building their bed! So I'm sure I'll never part with it. So it has been a very fast and busy month for sure!!! Looking forward to a great March and a bright spring!!!
