Beautiful Saturday!

Happy Saturday! How has your day been? We have had a wonderful day! It's all starting to look like spring around here! And I have been super busy doing some major spring cleaning! It's wild how you just get with it sometimes! But it makes me happy! Then this morning, Daddy fried up some donuts and we iced and glazed them. The girls love it! It's a wonderful treat and something special we get to do with Daddy! Please take one? We love to share!

The girls and I were busy playing outside this afternoon! And they were having hte time of their life, jumping for joy, as we say, while jumping on the trampoline.

We had been in a major drought and wild fires had been very near us. But God has brought some rain the last week! Thank you, Lord! We are so happy to see all the rain we can get. Then we had more last night and this morning! Oh and it is so beautiful. Things are perking up! It's not all so dead and brown. We have lots of green and so many of the wonderful wild flowers or weeds are popping up! Here's a sampling of some from our yard today! I know we may not have the prettiest yard, but we are out in the country, and I love the weeds and wild flowers! It's a simple reminder of God's work!

Here's a couple more pictures of the girls! Lil K was just being her sweet silly self! She is saying so much, and her favorite thing is being outside. She will cry to go out and cry when come in. She is all about being "otside", as she would say.

Lil E was busy playing her guitar and singing to us today! She was singing, Jesus Loves Me. It was the cutest! Sure a great ending to a wonderful day!

Hope you all have a wonderful and Happy Saturday! May your Sunday be relaxing and blessed!

Our Easter Weekend

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter Holiday! We had the most wonderful and blessed weekend! We started off on Good Friday with a few pictures of the girls and then our little party. My friend made the paper mache eggs. Aren't they just too cute? She was using them for pictures with the Easter Bunny for a fundraiser for Relay for Life. I just loved them!

There was 6 kids here for the party, including my 2. We had juice, and cookies, and lil Easter Sandwiches for them! They loved the bunny sandwiches!

Add we had a little Easter Egg Hunt. It was Kaylee's first one. She went right out and started picking up the eggs. It was precious! After the egg hunt we headed out of town to see the family.
Saturday was a beautiful day! It was just perfect! We took advantage of the day to take some more bluebonnet pictures. My favorite! And the girls love running through them!

After the pictures, and a wonderful lunch, that everyone contributed to! It was such a feast! We had burgers, hot dogs, hot links, beans, a couple of different potatoe salads, chips and dips, and lots of desserts, including our favorite banana pudding! YUMO!

Then it was time to hide the eggs and let the little ones hunt them. My sweet lil doggy was running to me right through the eggs! I just love this pictures!

Here are the girls with their basket of eggs! They had so much fun. There was at least 25 dozen eggs, and 8 little ones to hunt the eggs. So everyone had a more than enough eggs! And they were all happy!

Then the below picture is of the girls before Church on Easter Morning!
We had the most awesome Church service and worship! It was just the most beautiful time!!! We can't wait to get back and spend time with everyone again!

Friends

Friendship means so very much to me! And I am so honored to have been given these two beautiful awards! I am trully humbled by this! I'm so thankful for my blogging friends! They are a part of me! I'm glad we all get to share with each other, and grow together! What a real blessing.

I want to thank both my sweet friends, Valerie and Nichole. Both are super special to me! I'm so glad that God has brought both into my life. Both gals were brought into my life via the internet. So see good things do come for the internet. :)

I met Valerie, a while back. She came across my blog and we had an instant friendship. We have several things in common. She is a mommy of 2 little cuties, and has a love for life! She loves her country life and has a huge love for her family! She is full of faith and a wonderful friend! She has already proved this several times! She is a true gem! You can really enjoy the simpler things in life when you visit her, and she will take you one a wonderful ride down memory lane, by sharing so much of herself! I'm thankful to have her in my life and proud to call her a friend!

I met Nichole, many years back, through an online forum. We have become great friends and seen each other's family through lots of times. We have had lots of laughs and smiles together in the blogging and forum world, and in person too. Distance is far between us, but she is always near and dear to my heart. She is very Godly Woman, who displays the Light of Christ in all she does. She is a wonderful cook! And you can get lots of awesome info from her, at anytime! She is a blessing to the blogging land, and I am blessed to have her as a friend.

Thank you so much, Valerie, for the Sisterhood Award.

Thank you, Nichole and Valerie, for the Friends award.

For the awards ~ "These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind of bloggers aim to find and to be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated."
Now I'm going to share this award with a couple of gals!
Tammy is a sweetie! She is a Christian homeschooling mom of 2 great kids! Has so much faith and is a wonderful wife! She is an awesome friend to all. She is all about her family, just the way it should be. And you can see all her great primitive items too! Lots of fun over at her blog!
Sandra is a proud stay at home mom, and Military Wife! She is a wonderful Christian and so full of faith! She is a great inspiration to me, she does so much for her husband and kids! She is every so crafty! She is always doing something to brighten their lives, and with the most positive attitude, I know. She is also the host of Slow Cooking Thursday's! So you can get lots of great recipes from that, or from her own food blog. She is a great cook!
Thank you again to both, Nichole and Valerie, for the honors yall have shared with me!

a glimpse of while we were away

Whew, I'm so glad to be back home and getting into routine! It is a great blessing! I'm so thankful that I get to be a stay at home wife and mommy! It makes me happy to do so much for my family!

I thought I'd share some pictures from while we were away! Just a little high light of our time.

Lil E at the hospital, the day of Dad's surgery! We were taking a walk before we could see him.

One of the days while visiting Grandaddy, Lil E made me take a couple of pictures of her the blue lobster! She loved this little fella! She loved to go and see him. Every day when we were leaving, she would be sure to stop by and say, "Good night, blue guy, see you later". It was just too cute!
Lil K was so happy to have free time and get to run and play when time allowed! She was having a ball outside! Her and sister had lots of fun together!

Being silly! But oh what a beautiful smile!!!!!!!!
Mommy's Lil Honey Bunnies!!! These were taken the day we were heading home! The girls were being so silly with their bunny ears!

I'm so thankful that I had the opprotunity to go and be with my family and help my parents out! And I got to spend lots of time with those near and dear to me, my sisters and Our Pastor's family! We miss them all so much!
Thank you again, to everyone for stopping in and checking on us! It means a lot, and the prayers are so very much appreciated! Thank you!
Hugs and Blessings,

Lady Bugs

First off, I have to say Thank you to everyone for your love, prayers, and support! It was a very stressful and difficult time, but God was with us. He not only brought us comfort, but he kept my Daddy with us! We have several really big scares, and even a couple of set backs, but God never left us nor did he forsake us! He pulled Dad through, and it was by the Grace of God that he is still with us! He is doing better, and we are home! Your prayers meant so much to us! It is awesome to know so many were sending up prayers! And God answered us! Amen!

Now to some fun pictures and some searching for lady bugs. It had been a week and lots of chaos and stress with many many hours at the hospital. Dad was doing better, so I stayed at my parents for the day with the girls! They so needed a little down time, they needed the freedom to run and play, jump and shout! They needed the chance and freedom to do all they love to do. So that is just what we did. We had lunch and went outside! It was totally wonderful! They had so much fun, playing and running! It was a beautiful day, it was a bit cool, but nothing to bad. The grass had greened up so much with the rain that they had just had. God is so good, when we needed to see something bright, there it was bright green grass, flowers blooming, and beautiful red lady bugs! Oh wow a delight! Lil E and I love lady bugs, so she picked up the first two and after playing with them, she decided to put them in her pocket. There were so many that we decided to collect lady bugs and make them a home for the day! It was fun! So Lil E was busy getting the grass for their home, and then she collected some lady bugs...... You can see below....

As the afternoon grew to night, we had to let the lady bugs go back in the yard, so they could grow and thrive properly. We had a grand total of 6 in the little home, and the 2 in her pocket. One got out of her pocket while outside, when it was time to let the others go. So we returned 7 ladies bugs. Then about an hour later, we were inside and playing, she says I think my lady bug is crawling up my shirt. I didn't see it. Guess what, it had, it was on her head heading to the hair bow! It was too funny! So we got it, and put that little cutie back outside too. So that meant we had returned all 8 lady bugs! They were cute and fun to watch! And both girls just loved watching them, and especially Lil E while she was finding them!
Hope everyone is doing well and is enjoying some spring time weather and beauty!

Hugs and Blessings,
