It was field trip day. And we were headed to the pumpkin patch. We had to take a sack lunch. I wanted to make sure her lunch went with the theme. So she had pumpkin shaped sandwich, Halloween cookies and chips, a drink and fruit.
First off it was hay ride out to the field to pick a pumpkin.
Each kid was able to pick their own pumpkin. And the girls did just that. After everyone had picked their pumpkins, we headed back on the hay ride to the main area. We sang songs along the ride too.
There was much to do. We had to stay with the class, and rotated from each thing to do. The kids all loved the yard pillow.
And instead of a sand box, there was HUGE corn box to play in. It was so fun!
Elissa and her friend in class and cheer, up top the Hay Stack.
Elissa and Mommy.
They have the Mine Slides.. And they had so much fun climbing the hill to slide down, over and over and over.
Class picture.
And they were riding on the bull train.
Plus they went through the obstacle course.
I have the cutest scare crows ever!
A pic of us 3, even though it wasn’t that great, neither girl was looking.
This is Texas Size Volley Ball!
And the peddle carts.
This was a pretty fun day. We love the pumpkin patch. But this the day, I really saw first hand, issues in the class, and realizing I wasn’t to sure about this public school. I know not all are bad, but I just am not sure this is right for us. And this is when I started really reconsidering our decision, no matter what the other state said. (Since we were trying to get the Baby, that state frowns greatly on homeschool, and it is near impossible for us to get the baby placed with us, if we homeschool.)
It was a nice day, but we would prefer to go as a family, and take our time through out the fun things, and not have to move as an entire class.
*** Today Aug 2012… We can’t wait to visit the pumpkin patch this fall as a family.
Hugs and Blessings,
