Good Morning! We were so busy getting ready for Church, eating breakfast and starting the preps for our Mini Halloween Eve Party with our friends.
I had put the ribbon on these two skirts years before. The small one was Lil E’s when she was 3, and the larger a sweet friend of ours. Who since passed it back and now the girls each had one. What a blessing. They were able to pick their own shirts to wear with the skirts. And we see that both picked a shirt with sweet yummy treats on them.
After Church our Friends joined us for some yummy food and fun. You know me, it has to be a themed meal. So we had Jack O Lantern Dip (aka touch down taco dip), a halloween cake the girls helped make, and monster eye tacos, and ghostly tastados.
Lil E and Kinz are so cute together! They love hanging out! We enjoyed an afternoon of fun together. We really enjoy our time with them. The kids all have fun, and we get adult time too. It really is a wonderful blessing.
After they went home, that evening the four of us carved our pumpkins…..
Don’t fret, I didn’t hurt anyone with the knife, not even myself… James watched closely. LOL I know I don’t do things the safest way, but i do get the job done. For sure not always without injury. hehehe
And you know we can’t carve our pumpkins without reading Goopy Ghost. Mom read the story while daddy and the girls worked on the pumpkins. If you haven’t ever read it or checked it out, be sure to do. You can get This title and other awesome Goopy Titles over at Amazon. Check it out here..
Our Friend Goopy even has his own facebook page…. Check it out here. Or Goopy’s Website, here..
Not only can you check out Goopy, but while we are at it, check out the Author for more awesome finds. For facebook go here. Or her website here.
Do you think maybe goopy is going to slip away and come play later? It would be pretty cool!
The finished pumpkin we did as a family.. It took us way to long.. And the kids have to get to bed, it’s a school day tomorrow. So we will let Daddy finish up the other pumpkin. And he couldn’t keep it simple, he did this one a 2 sided pumpkin. The girls are so ready for Halloween Morning so they can see the other designs finished up.
Now for the last design, a haunted house…….
Dad had to be really careful to make this one work. Do you think he did?
Of course he did! He is Mr Perfectionist.
Both carved Pumpkins with mom’s Jack O Lantern Scentsy Warmer on the Table. All Glowing. Interested in Scentsy, check out my website.
We are pretty excited for how they turned out. Sure can’t wait to see what is coming our way in 2012. (They are pretty cute, as we bought the templates on Clearance after Halloween.)
***** Today 8/12…. I am so ready for Fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Winter, and Christmas… Today here at the end of Aug, we had cooler temps. Thank you, Jesus. It was very nice. The storms last night weren’t so nice, but I’ll take the stormy weather if we keep getting rain. Because the drought is terrible.
Hugs and Blessings,
