Our Adventures of January

With so much cold and snow, we stayed in most of the month. But we still had a lot of fun and was making great memories.

I’m so thankful that Lil E still loves her dolls and enjoys playing with them. And she is so loving the matching outfits.

Lil K doesn’t have an American Girl style doll, but her big sister has let her borrow one of hers and enjoy the dolls together! It warms my heart when they are so caring of the other one. They may fight and fuss, but they love each other and always are looking out for each other.

Even the pups are taking it easy with all the cold.

We have spent so much time this past month all cooking together as a family. This was the only night I took any pictures of it, but the girls are both loving helping cook! And it makes them really appreciate all that goes into the food. The girls have always helped bake, but not really cook. So this is a new treat for them, and it’s even tons better when we all four get to do it all together.

Racing is still in our blood. They are always finding a way to zoom about.

And we still homeschool. And we have our little cousin  here with us doing school. It’s lots of fun. Lil E loves helping the littles with school.

Our month was full of just the normal kind of days, but it was one of the best months in a very long time! And I am so looking forward to our February.

Hugs and Blessings,

We were off to a special lunch. Hubby asked where I wanted to go and I said some place I haven’t been.

So it was to The Cheesecake Factory we went! The food was great, and the cheesecake was amazing! But more than that, I was so thankful to have time with the hubby. Don’t get me wrong, I love being a family and doing stuff as a family. But it’s not often that hubby and I go out on dates. Maybe once or twice a year. So it was a real treat! The girls were having fun with their Aunt A, so they were thrilled to have that time as well.

After a lunch, we went to a few places. Then that night my sweet guy made me a special dinner at home and my favorite cake! Orange cake with orange glaze! YUM YUM!

After dinner, it was family time together! The four of us enjoyed the family game night, playing tetris jenga. That was full of fun and laughs!!! This is truly a special and most wonderful birthday! It was simple and really special! Just the way they should be!

I can’t think of a better way to have spent my birthday, than with those that matter the most to me.

Arctic Cold and Lots of Snow (lots of pics)

With our move, everyone said “I hope you love winter as much as you think you do”. And even with out of character much colder winter here, I do love it! The only part I don’t like is the fact it’s been so cold, and often too cold to go out and play in the beautiful white stuff that we love so much!!!

Here’s various pictures from different snows throughout the month. We managed to have some fun though!!!

This snow wasn’t as cold as the rest! But it was very dry snow and we couldn’t build a snowman. But it was so pretty and we had a lot of fun.

The girls and I did manage to have some fun.

Polar Vortex was headed our way and we know as the snow started  and the temps would be dropping, that it was the time to go out and play in the snow, or we would be stuck inside.

We had a lot of fun, but it was pretty short lived. Not even fifteen minutes. The wind was horrible, but we made some memories and had a lot of fun as a family. And that is what’s so important! We really cherish the time that Hubby/Daddy is home with us.

We are headed out to see of of God’s masterpieces in the snow! I can’t tell you how much I love the beautiful scenery around here! It’s often breathtaking! And did you know I love barns! So I am always loving the barns! Snow and Barns together is perfect!

The girls wanted snow pictures without the coats and being bundled up, so we ran out and snapped a few and raced back inside. These girls crack me up!!

Just this past Sunday, the girls went out and made themselves little snowmen while playing. I love their creativity and their love of snow!

Our January has been a month of lots of cold and lots of snow! More importantly it’s been a month of wonderful family time and priceless memories being made! I never knew that one simple move would change our lives this way! It’s more than I ever dreamed it could be! I honestly haven’t ever been this happy! And the girls and hubby too! Everyone is so much happier! And it didn’t happen in our timing, but it came to be in the timing of God. So for it all I give him the Glory!

Hugs and Blessings,
