Girls Family Weekend

At the end of July we met up for a girls weekend with my sisters and their kiddos and grandkids. We met in this most adorable and fun town. Grandbury TX. It was such an awesome place! Beautiful and lots to do! I love the quaint-ness and charm of the town! you should check it out some time, if you are ever near there! We had a lot of fun. We started it off with the Tea Party. And then dinner and hanging out that night! Saturday morning we started off with family pictures at a beautiful park! We had two photographers, so we didn't get many pictures of us two, but that is ok.

Here's several pictures of my family from that morning.

Then after pictures we went shopping and strolled around town. Had lunch at the sandwich shop. Shopped some more and then sat in the coffee / java place and enjoyed chatting it up and just chilling out together. All the kiddos had so much fun together! Then dinner that night out. And then for more fun times together! And another night in the pool! We even colored and high lighted a couple of our hair that night! It wasn't that we did anything big after our Tea Party, but we had a great time together and made a some wonderful memories!!! It was truly a beautiful and blessed weekend!!! After this, we all drove and Met Daddy for his Birthday dinner!! And I got to see him and spend a couple of days with him too! So what more could I have asked for! I know that my Momma was smiling down on us! And on our beautiful Saturday, someone special was born!!! While I was having a great time with my family, baby B was born! How awesome was that, even if I did not know then.

Tea Party

At the end of July we had a girls only family weekend mini vacation! And we kicked it off in great style! We had a tea party in a down town tea room! We all dressed the part, and many memories were had!!! The little girls thought they were grown up to get to use the real china, or "fancy stuff" as they called it.

We had big floppy hats, pretty dresses, and lots of feathers and other girly goodies.

Lil K gave me the first scare by flipping that cup around. We were told if the cups or saucers were broken, we had to buy them!

Lil E was so proper, and Lil K was my Fashion Diva!

Lots of fun of the family!

We ended our tea party on the steps with a group photo!

I know it isn't something we would all do again like that together, but was worth every moment of planning, hat hunting, dressing up, and stress of the broken china! It was a real delight! A super special treat! And to ee the smiles, everyone was beaming!!! A memory we will forever cherish!!! What a beautiful start to our girls get away!

Sweetness from Today!

We were sitting down to eat dinner, and I said to James, how I was already missing our old Dish DVR. (We switched to Directv today). Anyway, he said how come, and I said all my Christmas movies are saved on it! He just smiled. So Lil K says I am being good so Santa can bring me presents. Then she said "I'm gonna get a new horse and dog. And I am gonna ask Santa for lipstick for my sister!" Awww! How sweet is that?

Then the girls started picking out what they were going to get each other....

K to get E
lip stick
play dough
coloring book

E to get K
pink nail polish
yo gabba gabba toy

And for Baby B E said she would get her a shirt that says "I love you baby onesie"!!!

Sometimes they are too sweet for words!!!!!

We have enjoyed a yummy pot of chicken and dumplings on this cool day! Almost feels like fall.

Hope you had a day full of sweetness!

Hugs and Blessings,

Christmas in July

As always, we celebrated Christmas in July! It was lots of fun!!! The girls look forward to it as much as I do!

The girls are dressed in clothes that you would wear at Christmas, and even red and green hair bows!

We watched some Christmas movies, Santa Baby 2 and The Grinch.

And we did some Christmas Crafts!

The girls painted Christmas ornaments.

Above is K's ornament, and below is E's.

I worked on some Christmas hair bows.

With the air cranked down, we snuggled up on the couch to end the night with Christmas shows on tv! It was awesome!!!

Hope you had a very Happy Christmas in July!!!!

Bowling

We decided to take the girls bowling with some friends of ours. It was Lil K's first time ever to go bowling, and Lil E's 2nd time. We had a blast! The girls had a great a time learning all the different ways of bowling. As well as busy dancing! And the fact we were bowling in the dark, they found that to be the coolest thing!!!

Mommy and her girls!

Daddy and his girls

Daddy was so good and teaching the girls!

After about 4 hours of bowling, Lil K was all tuckered out! She slept on the scoring table! It was so cute!!!

Can't wait till we do this again!!! And it was so nice to be inside with AC instead of out at the track in the heat and dust!
