Growing Up

I can't believe it, our baby girl is about to be 4. (The above pic is when she was just a tiny lil one, and we had been home a week.) We had a lil party this weekend, since family was here, for her birthday. I sit here and reflect back to when she was just a lil thing and we were bringing her home at 6 weeks old. What a special joy in our lives! She still is that that special blessing in our lives. A special Gift from God. The things she does now keep me young and oh so proud. The love we have shown her is reflected in the the love she now has for her baby sister. It is amazing. Time sure flies by! We love you, Lil E.

Thankful

We are very thankful, God has made a way. Things are going forward with the plans for our lil sweet baby. I know it will work out, we have God on our side! I want to thank you all that have been praying for us!

I'm so thankful for my life, my husband, my girls, my family and friends!!!

We went today for Lil E's follow up and she is doing well. Praise the Lord! He said she is healing up well and can start slowly getting back to her activities, still limited some though. She had lots of pampering and a friend even made her special cupcakes with E on them. *grin*

Lil K is doing wonderful! Guess what, she has some teeth now. It's the cutest thing, we have 4, 3 came in together and the other broke the skin quickly after. She is pulling up on everything. She is a lil climber! But doing great!

The girls both love each other and can make the other laugh and smile so greatly! It is simply amazing how much they love each other! Even after Lil E coming out of Surgery she wanted her Lil K with her, and Lil K wanted to comfort her too. It was the sweetest most rewarding time for me!

And I want to say Congratulations to my sweet friend Kayla and her hubby Andrew and Big Sister Belle, as Kayla gave birth 2 days ago to Baby Girl Sophie! We are so happy for the newest blessing yall have received!

Hope everyone has a great week.

The Gift We Could Not Give Each Other....

As we are facing a big decision tomorrow, I have been stressed an worried, nervous and scared even, yet I know that God has made the way already for us, our family! This very weekend when I needed it most, I was touched! I can't at all describe the gift I have received. I was lead to some new blogs (new to me). All being spiritual and lead by Our Heavenly Father, and pouring over with blessings of adoption! I know this is a sign to me. To let God handle it, if I give it to him, it will all work out! So I am doing just that, "God, Our Father in Heaven, I am giving this struggle about the future over to you. Thank you for making the way. In Jesus' name, Amen." Wow, that much more simple than I had ever dreamed it could be.

I want to share some song lyrics with you. They were a blessings to me tonight for sure! You should also check out www.fromGodsarms.com

The Gift We Could Not Give Each Other
Words and Music by Michael Mclean

When she was a little girl she held her dolls like children.
Dreaming of the day when she'd have babies of her own.
Now those dolls lie on a shelf as lifeless as the dreams she dreamed.
It's become the deepest ache her heart has ever known.
There's a man who's trying his best to comfort her with roses.
Telling her he'll find a way to make their dreams come true.
He's been saying this for years, but now his tears reveal the truth.
In his heart he fears there's nothing else that they can do.
Then a gift is given, a phone call straight from heaven.
There's a child that's nearly due that a young girl's giving you.
She gave more than just one life when she makes of this man and wife a father and a mother.She gives the gift they could not give each other.
More than we could ever know this couple thanks the heavens.
Every time they hold their child, they feel they hold the world.
Words will never be enough to share the way the family feels.
From deep inside their hearts they want to tell that girl:
Not a day is ever through till we've thanked the Lord for you.
Your sweetness lingers near in our hearts and thoughts and prayers.
You gave more than just one life when you made of this man and wife,
a Father and a Mother. When you gave the gift we could not give each other.
You have changed our lives forever. Only you and God above could give this gift of love we could not give each other.

~~~~~~
I'm very blessed, I have a husband that has always accepted me and my infertility and knew that we would have a family some day. He knew and believed it long before I did. But he always said no matter what was in God's plan, he knew that he and I were meant to be together and he would never stop loving me! I am honored to say he is truly my best friend, the most wonderful man I know. Adoption is a blessing, it's been a blessing to the two of us, as our family continues to grow, I know that there are birthmoms out there, that are giving us, with the help from God, the biggest gift of all! Our precious children! Thank you, God, for trusting us so much with the most precious gift! I hope and pray we never let you down.
Many kinds of hats and flip flops....
I am posting this in honor of Lil E's surgery tomorrow, Aug 15. She is having a tonsilectomy. So today we had to go and do all our pre op at both the doc office and at the hospital. What a hoot Lil E was. You have to know the character she really is. Well they needed a urine sample for a ua. Well they told her if she wanted she could use the hat and then it could be transferred to the lil cup, or she could use the tool with mom's help to catch it in the cup. Only my lil character would tell you she couldn't use a hat! My my, now what were they thinking! *big grin*. Then the clown she is puts it on her head and says look at my new hat! She is just too funny for sure!!! She keeps me rolling! The pic was taken at the hosp while in the pre op surgery area. She was coloring there. Letting her get familar with the area. How great is that! We are so blessed with a wonderful Doc and Hospital facility.
The other day Lil E made up her own recipe while cooking in her play kitchen. She was making me some flip flop stew. So I asked her for the recipe and mommy wrote it down as she told it to me. So here you go, your very own recipe for Flip Flop stew!
Lil E's Flip Flop Stew
shrimp
cheese
tacos
hot sauce
Put it all in the pot to cook it. Add cake to it and smush it up. Cook some more. The add butterfly shrimp.
Hope you enjoyed her first recipe! I know I sure did. Big Smiles!
Princess Play
Yesterday we had so much fun! Lil E was playing dress up! It is so fun to see little ones get all involved in getting all dolled up. She says I'm a Princess Mommy! I said you are, My Princess! She just had the best time playing. She loves her dress up outfit, as it has a fluffy princess skirt! (in her words). This summer has been really hot, so we have been doing a lot more inside play than we did last summer. Have to figure something out to beat the summer time heat.
So after a great day of fun, it was time to make dinner. I had part of it planned and asked Lil E who likes to help in the kitchen, what veggie she would want besides our salad and she picked corn. So for dinner we had corn, salad, stuffing, and garlic chicken. YUMMY, if I do say so myself.
Garlic Chicken
1 small onion sliced
Italian Salad dressing
3 boneless skinless chicken breast, sliced in strips
10 - 12 garlic cloves
1 - 2 TBS Paparika
3/4 - 1 tsp lemon pepper
3/4 - 1 tsp cayenne pepper (or more if you desire more spice)
1/4 tsp salt
Pre heat oven to 350. Mix the paprika, lemon pepper, cayenne pepper, and salt in a small bowl. Place onions int he bottom of your baking dish. Pour Italian Dressing in the bottom of the pan, about 3 TBS. Enough to lightly coat the bottom of the pan. Roll chicken in the spice bowl and place in the pan. Top the chicken with garlic cloves. Bake at 350 for about 35 minutes, until chicken is done.
Hope you enjoy this recipe. It's one of our favorites.
Family Fun Day
We had a great family fun day this past week! We had a cook out at the park and then we went to an amuesement park. Lil E had so much fun getting to ride all the rides. She says here favorite was the choo choo train. (where this pic was taken) We have been busy doing so much stuff. Lil K is really crawling everywhere. But instead of crawling she leaps like a frog. It's too cute!
We wish you all a wonderful week!! Take time for your family!
