Well, I set out this year with great goals and priorities. But I have not been here, because we have had so much going on. We had put my dad on hospice, and I'm so thankful for all they did for him! I couldn't really ask for more. They took nice care of him. But he grew his wings, flew home to be with the Lord and my Momma, the love of his life! It's been really really hard. I thought I had prepared myself for all of this, but I sure hadn't. It's really hard knowing you are young (less than 40) and parentless here on Earth. I know that God is with me and they are watching over us. But it hurts, none the less. So this is where we have been.

Oh, Patty! My heart hurts for you so! I'm so glad you were able to experience the love and acceptance of two such wonderful people. Although I never met either, your blog posts and fb comments are filled with such love and admiration for them that one can't help but know what wonderful folks they were! Lean on your siblings and of course, James and the girls, to get you through these tough times. I hope to see you back to blogging! Maybe it can be your journal during this challenging time?!
