This is such a big deal, because Lil K is busy putting her fingers in her mouth, that I refuse to paint her finger nails! And now I will have a save way!!! I can't wait to get our order in! I just had to go ahead and share this site with all you mom's, grandma's, aunt's, or friends!!! It's a 5 year "Padoption" Anniversary!

Words can not describe my feelings! 6 years ago, I had given up on having kids, and thought it would NEVER happen for us! And I had decided I would be happy with what God wanted for me, even if it was not what I wanted!!! He sure was making sure I was going to accept his plan and stay true to him, that's for sure! Because it was just over a month later, out of no where, the news came! Would you like to adopt this new baby? WHAT???? Well there you have it, late Sept 2004, We found out our beautiful daughter had been born and was waiting on us!! We were blessed to get her in Oct! And just shy of 10 months later, we had the next best day of our lives! It was the day, that we went to court, and the judge signed and sealed, forever making Lil E our daughter!!! Even though, she would always have been no matter what, it sure was a GREAT feeling to know it was official!!! And that day, was today, Aug 19, 2005! So today we had another Adoption or as she said, "Padoption" Anniversary!!! It was all about her!

We played, she picked each meal out for the day. It is her special day, so she gets to pick what we eat and what we do!!!

These two pictures warm my heart! It does me so good to see how sweet and loving she is to her babies!!! She takes great care of them!!!

We made her favorite cupcakes!!! Chocolate Chip Cup Cakes! She got to pick, if we did a cake, or cupcakes, or cookies! And she wanted her most favorite cupcakes! Here is the recipe ~ CC Cupcakes.

All decorated up! She had a blast doing them!!! There is plenty to go around.

And then before dinner, we went outside to play! It has been way to hot to play outside much! But it had cooled off enough today to play out for a short time!

I had to laugh so hard watch her talking on her toy phone! Look at how grown up she is sitting, and was saying things she has heard me say like "well that's what friends do" or "I know but I need to go get dinner ready for my family" and "so what are you doing? you about home?".

For dinner we had her favorites, bacon ranch chicken, carrots, and mashed potatoes! YUMMY!!!

Then we finished off our special night looking at old pictures! It was awesome!!! I am so glad that God has blessed us with our princess! She is truly sunshine!!!

Baby Girl, Mommy and Daddy, love you!!! We are so proud to be your parents! So proud of you! And we will always love you, no matter what!!!!! Happy Padoption Anniversary sweet E!

Cooking Thursday ~ Cheesy Chicken & Biscuits

Check out the banner above, and it will take you to other great Cooking Thursday recipes over at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom!

I haven't been posting recipes much, as I don't like summer much and don't cook much other than salads and grilled stuff mostly this time of year. That will be changing soon! And I will try harder to post recipes more often!

So for today, here is a super easy casserole, that our family enjoys!!!

Cheesy Chicken and Biscuits

3 boneless skinless chicken breast, cooked and chopped (or 3 cans of white chunked chicken, drained)
2 cans of cream of chicken soup
1 cup of milk
1 ¾ to 2 cups of grated cheddar cheese
2 cloves of garlic, pressed
1 small onion, chopped
2 - 2 ½ cups of frozen mixed veggies or 2 cans drained
2 cans of buttermilk biscuits, quartered
Salt and pepper to taste

Stir it all together in 9 x 13 inch baker, and bake for 45 minutes at 350.

Been a busy couple of weekends around here.

The last two weekend, Daddy and Lil E have been so busy working on the race car! It's actually 2 cars, to make the one. Either way, they have been busy. It's all they have been doing. It takes me back to when I was a kid, and my daddy was busy building on race cars! Guess that is why I love them having this special bonding time too!!! It is awesome! And it teaches her so much!

Above, they are hard at work, and below she is pretending she is the winner!!!

And then today, here they are below back hard at work! Oh wait, Daddy was taking a break for a second, while Mommy was out there talking to them, and sneaking a few pictures.

Lil E was making sure she kept busy! She had a blast again, and was way dirty again! But that is ok, because we think dirt is good for you!

You wont see many pictures, posts, or updates about the race car here, (you can find them on our racing blog though) but I just had to share how busy they have been, and what our weekends have been looking like around here!! I am so excited about the race car, and can't wait for it be all ready for next year's race season! I want my girls to love racing, just like I do! And I hope and pray it teaches them the things it taught me, like hard work, dedication, loyalty, determination, how to cope with frustration, not to ever give up, to try harder, a good healthy kind of self pride, self esteem, good sportsmanship (ok, mommy has to still work on this a bit), how to follow directions, to work together, about good times and hard times, and even bad times, about problem solving, and proving the need for math, science, and much more! And how you can do all this and keep your faith all at the same time! And I pray that the girls both learn this!

It's our Simple kind of life!

**Now it's 8/15 and this was started 8/13**

We have been taking it easy around the house here! It's been way to hot to go outside, and Lil K isn't suppose to be out side right now or in the dirt at all. So we have been busy with lots of inside play!!!! Even so much I think it's boring Pyro Dynamite! He just chills on my radio and watches us! (and yes that is real LPs you see next to it!) I had to have the retro style radio, so I had it all in one!!!

She took her dress off to put on her wing and fly! She kept running around saying "I fy, I fy, I fy Momma!"

After lots of dress up fun, it was time to head over to "Thousand Road City", that is what Lil E named her city that she set up in Little People!

We had Noah's Ark!

And there was a camper and City Stores!

And a BEACH!!! She used a piece off her doll baby bed to make the beach! How precious!

Some were in sleeping in the tent!

While others were busy playing games!

And there was teachers hard at work too!!!

We played and played for hours! We all love Little People at our house!!! We have lots more pieces, and you never know just what the set up will be that day, but for yesterday, this is what we saw!!!

Just been taking it easy, and have been enjoying the small things, that are a big part of our daily life, around here!!!

Knock Knock

Knock Knock!

Please come in, I hear from inside the little cottage!

I just smile and my heart is beyond full of joy, when I hear my girls say, come on in Mommy, I'm making dinner, or taking care of the baby!! This would be while they are busy playing in their (new to them) play house!

So they are busy at work, oops I mean playing in their precious house! As I sit back and watch them mock what they see at home, it makes me proud that they have learned at such an early age, that we serve an awesome God! I love to hear the two of them just talking about what God says, even if it is it is several scriptures or messages arranged together! It is still God's word! But more importantly, it really as me thinking about how two sweet innocent children are spreading the light of Christ! And it's all because Daddy and I made a decision to serve our Lord, early on, therefore they have only been taught this way.
"As For Me and My House We Will Serve the Lord" ~ Joshua 24:15

Here's a recent conversation with Lil E and myself ~

Lil E "Mommy, when I turn 6, I am getting a tiny baby brother. He is going to be so tiny and sweet!"

Me "honey, mommy can't promise you another baby. It is not up to me, It's up to God"

Lil E "Well Mommy, God gives us what we ask for, and I'm want a tiny baby brother!" (with determination in her voice, i might add)

Me "Oh sweetie, you know it's not always that easy. I don't want you to get your hopes up. Mommy's babies come in a very special way, God give them to us through adoption, but I can't ever promise anything." (again, what did I just say to her, God gives them to us!)

Lil E "I am going to get us a tiny baby, he is going to be so tiny, not a big baby like sissy was! she wasn't very tiny, she was already near grown up!" (I'm trying to fight back the tears, but then I just out laughing about Lil K being near grown up!)

Me "E, I know she was a big baby, but she is our baby! And I can't promise you a baby!"

Lil E "I'm going to ask God again, he knows that is what I am getting when I am six"

Me "sweetie, sometimes God can't always give us what we want, he knows best, and we have to just see"

Lil E "Well if God wont, I'll just talk to Jesus!" (as matter of fact as any near 6 year old can be)

Wow, talk about a little determination and some major faith in God! WOW! If we all just had a 10th of that Faith, where would we be! I know If I had as much faith, I know that I'd sure be in a much better place! I'd not be questioning things I don't know or understand so much! Now yes, I have a lot of faith, and I trust God more than I do anyone! But would I trust him enough to just say, he will be bringing me another baby without any facts or something sound to back it up! I don't think so. Even though it is only by the Arms of God that I have been blessed with my beautiful girls. He made the way, opened every door, closed doors in other situations, so that both adoptions went through in his timing! So would have that much faith, even though I am told to.....

So anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. ~ Matthew 18:4

For me, I am going to do my best to be like a child, just like my sweet Lil E and trust God has the plan and the way without questioning or looking for a fact to back anything up! I am going to work to grow my Faith! I want more faith than a mustard seed, I want more than a 10th of the faith Lil E has! I wan to be busting out with FAITH!!!! So this is my goal! Less stress, because it's all in the hands and plans of God, My Heavenly Father!

If you do not know Christ as your Lord, it's as simple as a simple knock, like the one I give on the girls play house door! All you need to do is Ask him, and he will come to you! How much greater could that be? It's the BEST!

I am truly blessed and therefore, I am so thankful!!!! What a wonderful life I have!!

It flew by!

***I can not believe we are into Aug!, and I never finished this post before I headed out to Convention... So it's out of order now! And then I found out tonight, that it has not been allowing anyone to comment my blogs, but that has been fixed! Hope yall enjoy! **

Where did July go? It really flew by super fast! We were so busy, and never did we slow down.

We had lots of fun, that's for sure!!!!!

A little dirt never hurt anyone! Nor does a lot of dirt! Lil E loves playing in the dirt! And nothing makes her happier than playing in the mud or rain! So she was one happy camper with all the early July rain. Thanks to Tropical Storm Alex, we had plenty of rain for the time being.

Before Patti and the boys left, we went to the mall to shop! And we rewarded the kids for being so good, a trip to the arcade!

Lil E loves driving the cars!!! But Lil K loves riding the motorcycles.

Can you believe it is just July 10 and 11~

We were having a cookout to send Patti and the boys off! I can't believe they were really heading home! I sure hate to see them go. We all had lots of fun!!! Before the cook out, Lil E was so busy dancing and entertaining us all!!!

And new to our family, we have adopted a new cat, Pyro! He is very special!!! He comes from our dear friends, Jenn and Irv! Lil E is so happy to have him! We love him!

After we say good bye and and are done crying, we were entertained by Lil K being our a monkey! She was a hoot! Doing flips and everything! She loves her new jammies!!!!

See who is my visitor when I am on the computer!! Pyro, he watches out the window, and talks to me!

Low and behold, Lil K is busy following in big sisters foot steps, in many ways!

See she, colored all over the dryer, and the cabinet, and sissy's doll! I remember this very age, Lil E was busy decorating our home too!! So I guess I'm gong to have two little picaso's in our home!

Cuddle time is my favorite!!!! Even Pyro has joined in on lots of cuddle time!

This has to be a favorite picture of mine!!! It's my sweet Lil K napping with mommy! To me she looks like a precious baby doll! Like a real baby doll, or a tiny baby!

And we are still having fun in the pool, aka our backyard oasis! **wink**
But to swim, you have to deal with all the balls!!! They love to have all the balls in the pool!

Just getting through daily stuff and taking care of all the things, that we haven't been home to do, as kept us so busy!!!!

The last night before they girls go see my parents, and I head to Convention, we chopped off Lil E's hair. It was what she wanted, so we did it. She loves it!

Now it's time to head to convention!!!

Hugs and Blessings,
