Then we did something new, everyone filled out a time capsule survey together and we read each others and then they are put up. And we will see in a Year how we have all changed.

As we watched the New Years special to see the Ball drop, the kiddos kept us laughing some more!!!

My sweet baby boy Harley was not shy to the action, but he wore himself out and needed to take a rest with his Momma.

It’s getting close to the ball dropping and everyone is actually sitting here, I say it’s in a exhaustion haze. But we had so much fun!!! This was by far the best New Years Eve we have had!!!

Wasn’t long and everyone was tucked in and ready for some sleep!

A New Year and New Beginning

DSC_0111   DSC_0118

Just a small peak at our home! (Lots more to come).

In the last absence from blogging, we moved! Not a small move, a big cross country move! It didn’t come lightly, it was something that we listened to God and followed his lead and plan.

Hubby started a new job in late October, and the girls and I stayed behind back home. We had a rough time.  Packing and getting ready for the move, as well as much more going on. I spent 5 days in the hospital. That is where the Nov blogging left off. Then it was Thanksgiving and time for Christmas. Where did the time go? It is a huge whirl wind.

We are very blessed through it all!!!! We are sitting right where God wanted us to be! We are in God’s Country. We are in part of the MidWest! As an racing lover, I am excited to be here, the home of the NHRA US Nationals, The Brickyard 400, The Indy 500!!!!! It’s a wonderful place!

Happy New Years from us!!!

pics taken Jan 1. We had a wonderful low keep day! We cooked our traditional dinner, black eyed peas, ham, coleslaw and rolls. It was amazing to start the new year in our new home (new to us), but it’s a home we are buying so it’s ours! And something to put down some real starting roots!!! It was great to be with hubby and the girls, and everyone of us is so very happy! A happy I didn’t even know was really possible for me anymore.

If you are still around, I hope all is going well in your neck of the woods!!! May 2014 be your most blessed and happiest year ever!!!

Giving Thanks–Day 11

Today I am thankful for all that have served or are serving our great Country. I wish we as a country would show more appreciation to them throughout the year, not just on Veteran’s Day. Without them we sure wouldn’t be in the same place today! They have given so much to keep us safe and free! Be sure to thank a Veteran, not just today, but everyday.

Giving Thanks–Day 8–Day 10

Day 8

I am so thankful that my niece came to visit today and that we were able to spend the day together! It was a very nice treat, and I really did enjoy doing crafts together. It was a wonderful day!

Day 9

I’m thankful for the prayer warriors in my life! No matter what the need is they are always there and ready to pray. It doesn’t matter if I call, text, or use social media they are there and willing to send up some prayers!

Day 10

I’m thankful for the freedom to choose which Church I want to attend to worship our Lord and Savior. This means so much to me, that we are not forced to worship in a way we do not believe.

Giving Thanks Day 3–Day 6

Day 3 -

I'm thankful for my Momma and Daddy!!! They were the bestest parents in the world!!! And I hope that one day my kids will say I was half as good as my mom or my daddy! I will cherish my memories of them forever!!!! And they will forever be with me!!! I miss them every day, but days like today, I really need them!!!!!! I'm so thankful that I have all the memories, the unconditional love from them, and that they were the two people WHO ALWAYS had my back!!! For the things they taught me, and for even the temper I got from them!!! I'm so glad for the things we got to do together. And all the fun we had!!! Most of all for them teaching me about God and that he loved me no matter what!! Not to mention that I could talk to them about anything!!! They made all Holidays more than you could imagine! And I am thankful that we shared so much with our hobbies and all everything we did!! They taught me to be the person I am and to help others!! They also taught me to love our kids no matter what, and there is no such as labels (step/adopted/etc). God really blessed me with outstanding parents and I am so thankful for them!!!!

Day 4-

I am thankful for every bump in the road, every obstacle, every bad patch or day, for my struggles and trials. They have taught me, helped mold me into who I am, and make me appreciate life more. Including yesterday that was an exceptionally hard day.

Day 5-

I am thankful for my precious daughters!!! They are our world! I love them more than words can say!!!

DSC_0192a

I love that I get to be their mom and that no matter how bad of a day it may have been, they can make it all better with a sweet hug!! They are so different and so much alike. Loving and sweet and wild and strong willed and fun and spunky!!! They light up our world  in so many ways!! I always wanted to be a stay at home mom, and I’m so glad that I was blessed with two wonderful and special daughters. They are a true gift from God! I love them forever and always and then some!!!!!!

Day 6 -

I am thankful for the real and true friends that are there for us no matter what! That love us through our bad times, just as well as the good times! the ones that don't judge us for being who we are or the way we are!!! I'm loud and stand strong in my opinions and beliefs, James is completely who and how he is, and our girls are precious and loving but wild and rowdy!!! But it's the true friends that love us as we are and are there no matter what, that make life much better!!! It's these friends that I'm beyond thankful for!!!!!!!! Thank you dear Lord for blessing our lives with these real friends that are the family we pick!!!

I love to head on the bike and just enjoy the ride with him, kinda like enjoying the ride through life together!!!

jp6

jp5

He is my bestest friend!!! One that is always there for me, no matter what. Been through some of the roughest times, and stood by me!!! He doesn't hold my mistakes against me. He always supports me and all my crazy ideas!!! No matter how out there they are! He stands strong and firm in his beliefs! No way will he wave!!! He is an outstanding man of God! Leader of our family!!! He is a wonderful provider! He works extra hard to insure we have all we need, and the best life possible!!! He thinks he is comedian, and I have to admit sometimes he is pretty comical! He completes me and I couldn't imagine my life without him!!!

jp4

Not only does he provide and support, but he takes great care of me with my illnesses and injuries! He is my soul mate!!! My everything!!!! And I'm glad he is the other parent to our kids!!! He is a wonderful daddy for sure!!!! He is a protector, that's for sure!!! Aint no one going to mess with his girls!!! That’s all 3 of us!  I love him more today than I did the day we said I DO! I really didn't think I could ever love him or anyone this much!!! Our love has not only grown stronger, it has withstood what most can't. I am beyond thankful!!!!!!  And he make me Happy Happy Happy!!!

Thank you Dear Lord, for blessing me with the most wonderful and amazing husband ever!!!

Thankful–Nov 1

I am thankful for new beginings. James' new job. For the move. The future we will all have there. All this is a blessing from the Lord. It all came together in his timing, not ours. But I am so thankful for this gift to our family. I am looking forward to a better life for us in many ways. Surrounded by many friends and family! Not to mention around people that are like us. I just know that God brought all this about to bless us so much more than we can imagine, and I’m beyond thankful for each and every part of this! It’s been a sacrifice in some ways, but will be more than worth it in the long run.

Pinned it, Made it Monday

I haven’t participated in sometime. And I thought it was fitting and a great way to help me get back into some more regular blogging.

So last week while baby sitting, and taking all the kiddos to the VBS (at the friend’s Church), I needed some easy dinners. So I decided to do this cheeseburger sliders.

Pinned:

Ours:

They were pretty good, but I have to say I prefer a grilled on the grill burger.

Please check out my friend’s blog and link up for Pinned it Made it Monday posts.

Hugs and Blessings,

A week with our Family

DSC_0415

this is Bud, and he is with Aunt Kim. Isn’t he beautiful! The girls love to feed him treats and snacks. I have finally got to a place that I’ll feed him.

You will quickly see we spent so much time swimming… Smile

Monday we had a sisters day. It was me and my girls, and both my sisters. And various nieces during different parts of the day. Something we had not done in a long time.

DSC_0418

First day of swimming was Tuesday at Aunt Lala’s. Love her beautiful yard and wall to hide the pump and all.

DSC_0419

the girls were scared of the water and unsure. This is nothing new. I finally knew we had to do something. A dear friend that has a special needs child said it to me, that if I can teach her to swim, you need to teach the girls. You are doing all of you an injustice in letting them and feeding their fear… It took some time to sink in, but for some reason it finally did and it was time for them to swim.

It didn’t take to long! And everyone was happy as could be!

DSC_0437DSC_0420DSC_0432

Aunt Lala has some beautiful poms. They are beautiful! And so funny.

But Aunt Lala also keeps her granddog, Brisket. He is too cute!

DSC_0474DSC_0477

After a day of swimming at Lala’s, we were back at Aunt Kim’s and they needed to swim more. So they were busy playing in Puppy’s pool.

DSC_0485DSC_0490

Wednesday we didn’t get any pictures, but we spend the day shopping with Aunt Kim. It was lots of fun.

On Thursday we went to my friends house and the kids swam. It was lots of fun!

The week was busy and not so busy all together. It was really good and much needed! hated the allergies we all had there, and sure didn’t like the humidity! But it was good to see everyone.

Saturday we shopped a little more with Aunt Kim and picked Daddy up from the airport. Then dinner and back to Aunt Kim’s.

Sunday was a wedding and that blog is coming separate.

It was my first trip back after saying good bye to Daddy. it was really hard and I sure do miss him and my Momma, but it was a good time too.  It was very much needed time with my sisters and healing for us together too.

Hugs and Blessings,
