American Idol

WOW.. I don't usually blog about tv or that kind of stuff. But tonight, I just can't help it....

I had picked a few favorites, and 3 made the final 24... Scotty, James Durbin, and Lauren Alaina. And 2 are the final 2 tonight...... So who am I voting for??

After watching the show tonight and thinking about this very much! Here's my take.

Lauren's song that would be a single, was a knock out song that won many many hearts!! Just loosing mom and missing her much, it was for sure a song I loved! And would buy! Being as I always wanted to be just like her, it really did hit home!

But not only do I think Scotty is more grounded and I loved each of his songs tonight!!! I love you this big, also hit home!!!!

So I bet you are thinking it's pretty split.... But it's really not..

My votes have gone to Scotty! In my opinion, he is an outstanding person, and has showed so much true character as a person, someone I'd really want my kids to look up to. I love his style yes, so that helps too. But I think he is much more mature and able to handle this! And I think Lauren is a little too fragile to handle the hard road and what come with it all at this point!!! I really do wish both of them GREAT careers and I know they will both soar and do great!!

This is just my humbled opinion.....

Anyone else out there an American Idol fans out there? What was your take?

Gotcha 3

Can you believe it? It's been 3 years since we first held this princess!!!! Yes 3 years ago, we held her for the very first time ever! We picked her up, but had already fallen in love with her!!!!

Her very first portrait.....

Below is the next day, picture of lil and big sister together! The love was instant! And beyond anything I had ever seen!

Lil K brightens our days so much! She is so silly, has the funniest faces, is always making us laugh! She is hilarious! It's something you can't even begin to imagine! She has such an attitude and is the most determined lil girl I have ever seen! She is very very smart! And often, just too smart! She is a chatter box that never stops! But that is ok too! It is pretty entertaining! She loves to do everything her big sister does! She loves the park and being outside! At night when she is being put to bed, she has Momma start her nightly prayers with the words "Now I" and she continues them all the way through. Then we say Amen together! She is so sweet and cuddly! And loves to snuggle!

Kaylee is our beautiful special blessing from God! And her name is after 2 dear Grandma's. Her great grandma, and her Mamaw. We love you Princess! You are so sweet!

My sweet princess after picking Mommy some get well flowers.

I couldn't be more happy that God has blessed us with our sweet baby girl!!! I love you and am very proud of you my darling, K! Mommy and Daddy love you always and forever!!

Because they will have me around for them!

It's not about the looks for me, I promise, it's about curing the psuedotumor cerebri! It's about being healthy and feeling good!! And after being sick for so long, I really can't wait!!!!

I will be in the hospital for a couple of days, and then I will be back to say all is well.

What I Learned This Week

I am joining in the "what i learned this week" by From Inmates to Playdates' blog carnival/ party! So be sure to click the button or here and go by and check out what other's have learned this week. You might learn lots of good stuff too.

In no particular order, I am posting my list......

1) That I am much stronger than I though! I thought that I couldn't get my strength back to handle stuff situations and stuff, after loosing Momma, but I have learned that I am much stronger than I ever though!

2) I have learned that it's best to not let what I can not control, affect me! Meaning when negative people try to bring you down and into their drama, you can easily walk away and opt out! I have and man has my stress level been less than it would have been previously if placed in this situation!! I can't think my dear friends Jennifer and Irv for their talk and help about this, right before I left town. So here it is ~ You must not swallow in their negativeness. If you happen to, delete it and spit it out!

3) That this pre-op diet sucks! I'm sick of protein shakes and protein bars! But not all are yucky, I promise! Just want more real food! No startches is hard! It's not the sweets, it's the rice and potatoes and sauces that I miss.

4) Just how much I can't stand to be away from my husband! This trip here, to be with my family in their time of need, has really made me see, just how much I need him!!! I need his loving arms!! I need him more than I ever knew!

5) How much I love our life at home! Our routine, our way, our everything! Our life isn't anything fancy, not tons of frills, but it's a wonderful life! We don't have the strictest routine, but it's not total chaos either! It is just right and works perfect for us, and being away for 2 weeks has showed, I lvoe our life at home!

There you have it, not to much greatness, but things that really mean something to me is what I learned this week.

Our Easter (a bit late and lots of pictures)

As you have read, I was having a really hard time starting our Easter weekend, but I knew I had to make it super special! And with the help of some very dear people, they made it super special for the girls too! I will forever be thankful!

We knew had to color our eggs, so that we could make deviled eggs for our Easter dinner! So the girls and I got busy.

We bought this no mess dye kit at the dollar general store, called mystic dye, and it had a pearl look. Very pretty! But it didn't really dye the eggs, it would was right off the shell.

But they were having a GREAT Time coloring the eggs!

Then who can say they colored eggs and didn't get their hands dirty, so we had to paint some with our fingers!! And it was more fun!

The above is all 3 of us girls painting on very special family egg!!!

Then below you see the 3 eggs, and there is a message in them!
We Love Momma/ Mamaw!!!

The egg we painted is first, then the next is my hand painted egg, and I did a heart on it for Love. And next is the first egg I colored and did it in blue in memory of my Momma! So there you have the we love her! I wanted something for her, as we were all missing her so much!

But don't they look cute, and pearly? too bad it wouldn't stay like regular dye.

Then it was Easter morning!!! And it's not about the bunny, as we are celebrating that our Savior is risen and alive!!! But for the girls and tradition, even though they are taught the real meaning of Easter, and always get some thing from the bunny that is about Jesus, that rascal pays a visit.

Not only did he fill their baskets, he dropped some HUGE eggs outside!

He left 2 large plastic eggs filled with something for each girl! Lil E had purple and Lil K had pink eggs! He put a smaller matching egg for each by their basket in the house. I bet it was to make sure they knew who's was who's when they found them outside! It was a big surprise when we let Lil Bit out to potty and found these giant eggs!

Then it was back inside to see what was in their baskets! They had so much fun with all the lil things!

Then the girls and I made some cut out sugar cookies! We did eggs, bunnies, and Crosses.

They are awesome helpers in the kitchen! And loved rolling and cutting out the cookies, as usual!

But it was much more fun to decorate them so they could eat the left over icing and sprinkles, and eat broken cookies too!

I am so proud of this yellow egg, you see, Lil E pipped the pink on it! I think she did very good!

Easter afternoon we went outside for some fun!!! And Momma took some pictures too!

Oh my word! Does this mean they really were hatched? hehehehe

Then we all had so much fun outside playing! We did bubbles, and chalk, played ball, played with the eggs, and so much! It was beautiful out and I know Momma was smiling down on us!

Daddy even was teaching the girls how to blow on the blades of grass! It was a perfect day filled with family fun!!!

I even managed a picture of my fur baby, who hides from he camera!

I can't tell you how much it means for those that brought the girls treats and special gifts! It means the world to us that you love our girls enough to make this Easter of all really special!

And we still needed to hunt our eggs! We had way to many eggs, and many from through the years, and some took me to egg hunts and Momma and Dads in previous years! Plus we had nearly 3 dozen dyed eggs from our friend for the girls to hunt and enjoy too!

Get ready, set, and HUNT

We really did have a wonderful time and made lots of great memories!!! We then sat down for a wonderful dinner with some friends! It was perfect!!!! I really can't tell you just how wonderful it was! Thank you, Momma, for giving me the strength to make it special even though we were all hurting so bad! We love you forever and always!!!!

Thank you, Jesus, for dieing on the cross for each of us! I'm so thankful that because of you, we get the gift of eternal life in Heaven!!!

Hope that you and yours had a wonderful Easter.

Where I have been, and what's going on.

As we all know, life changes in the blink of an eye! It can be minor changes, to major changes. Easter Sunday, my sister called me to say she was headed to the ER. She was released, but went back Monday morning (4/25), they wanted to life flight her out, but it was the start or the horrible storms, so they transported her via ambulance. But the storms weren't near as bad as they were further away. SHe was rushed into surgery and came out on life support. Last week was a super hard and scary week. Then Saturday, they had to move her from the ventilator to a trach. So needless to say it's been horrible! Super hard to watch! (at times, it's like reliving Momma laying there 7 months earlier). It's hard to watch Dad's fear and worry and that to compile above his normal health issues. I came in town here, last Wed and I am still here. I can't return home yet, Dad needs me too much. So I am here to help him. I hate that I can't fix this! I wish I could do something to change this. HOwever it's in God's hands. I keep praising him through this all. I know for the last year or or a lil more, it's been really bad! And I know it's been hard, but God has a plan and I am trusting him!

Our hearts break for all those that have been affected and lost so much from the many tornadoes and storms of last week! I was scared for so many I know. Yall have our prayers and support! If you haven't ever been through something like this, please take note, they need lots of help, support, and prayers! They need us! And they need to know they aren't forgotten. Going through several natural destructions in my life, I know what it feels like to be forgotten. Help where you can! They need lots of help, money, food, clothing, water, time and labor in clean up! They need love and support!

Tomorrow, I start my pre op diet for my surgery! I have 2 weeks until surgery, and I can't wait. I am ready to get on with getting well. I am so tired of being sick and hurting like this. I want this so that I can be a better wife, mom, daughter, sister, friend, and Christian!

The girls are doing good! They had a very good Easter, and doing well with school stuff, even while here and out of routine.

I hope and pray everyone is doing well. I will try to post some updated pictures and about our Easter soon. Yall take care!

Hugs and Blessings,
