Biggest Impacts

Today is day 7 and it's a picture of someone/someplace that has had the biggest impact on you. Well I couldn't just share a picture, it had to me more than that.

My parents have had the biggest impact on me! I can't even begin to tell you how much they have each impacted me, as well as made me who I am!

They always showered me with unconditional love and lots of praise! There was never anything to big or to small of importance, that you couldn't talk to them about. Nor was there anything ever to bad or to good to tell them! It was a totally open relationship! They always encouraged me to follow my heart! To know that God was with me no matter where I was! And they believed in me! They made me feel like I was really something special, yet I wasn't the most popular kid in school. I wasn't the prettiest, skinniest, or even the smartest. I didn't have the most dates, and even when I did date, I had more restrictions than most kids my age! My parents were considered way old fashioned! (funny though, that all my friends wanted to hang out at my place with me and my folks). Yet I was taught all my life, that if I wanted something, all I had to do was to dream it and believe it, and it could be mine!!! It was that simple! I was taught self worth, work ethics, that if you didn't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. And yet, I was taught, to fight for what I believed in!!! Stand proud and hold my head high with pride! I was taught to defend my self when needed! I was taught that I was worth more than settling! I was taught there was no such thing as step/foster/ adoptive in either the children or with the parents! I was taught life wasn't always easy or fair, but it was worth the ride! They were there in my darkest times, and my brightest and best!

Mom taught me to cook and bake. There is no body that can make pork chops like momma!!! Everyone would come running and bringing in more pork chops for her to cook, so that they could eat too, just because they heard it was pork chop night! She shopped with us like no other! And she had a keen eye for style. She would take us places and do so much fun with us! She would take me and my group of friends to the week long country fair every single year! She would do crafts with us. She taught me to paint. Mom is who I get my artistic abilities from. She would bake for everyone and feed a crowd on near nothing! She would give you the shirt off her back or any out of her closet! She was my ride partner at the carnivals and ameusment parks! She was the most loving and supportive wife! She was the GREATEST momma and mamaw ever! She showed me that, even though it's the hardest, doing the right thing and helping others was the way to go. She was the ultimate care giver to everyone she knew! She baby sat and showered those kids with love until her dieing days! She loved our friends as her own kids! Many called her Mom! She was the worlds Mom and Mamaw, but she was my Momma! She showed me how to love unconditional and how the sacrifice of motherhood was so worth it! She showed me that I deserved real love, just like she had with dad! That didn't mean perfect pretty roses every day, but it ment unconditional forever love! She showed me that no matter what else I was doing in life, that I wanted to me a Mom and Stay at home like she did! To be the meanest momma bear out there when it came to someone hurting or messing with my sweet cubs!!! She had the most giving and helping hand! She showed me how important real friendships were! And she was the brightest light for Christ on Earth. She is who I get my love for music from!! It moves the soul!!!

Dad taught met to get dirty! To ride go-karts and atvs. To love cars, especially racing! Dad taught me that your family is most important and you fight for them, you protect them! You do everything you can for them! He really showed me that kids are yours, alll of them are yours, no matter how they became yours! He taught me my love for racing, he made sure it ran deep and would forever flow through my veins! He taught me that it was ok to be who I was, just to make sure it was what and who I wanted to be. He did everything for us! I will never forget the first car accident I had, the fear and worry I had about disappointing him, and when he walked in the room to see me, he said "baby girl are you ok?" I said the car isn't as I was crying! He said "I don't give a shit about that car, all I care about is you! That car doesn't matter one bit! YOU ARE ALL THAT MATTERS!" And he meant it! At the drag races when I couldn't see over the crowd, (mind you I was in high school, and not a small girl), he would pick me up, so that I could see what they were doing! Yes I wanted to be a mechanic and drive race cars! He would fix us hot dog roasts with bond fires, and work all day and come help us with school projects! He never faulted me as he 19 year old daughter how was dating a man 11 years older than her, who had 3 kids. He said if that is what I wanted, to remember that I choice those kids as mine, if I was going to love him, and to love him was to love those kids! Funny thing is, I will forever love those kids! He let me be me and make my choices and yet he was there to support, encourage and, guide me without ever judging or putting me down! He taught me to never give up, and that just because medicine says it's not possible that ALL is possible with GOD!!! He showed me how to be humble and share is own miracle while never forgetting to praise God! He showed me how I wanted to be loved by a man, by the way he loved my mom! He loved her more than most can ever really realize! He showed me what kind of dad, i would ensure my children had! (Thank God they do!) He is the most loving Grandaddy and would do anything for any of his kids or grandkids! He is so proud of his family!

So when they say I am just like my mom, well they are right!! And when they say I'm just like my dad, they are right again!!! I am totally both of them, in good ways and bad ways too! I am who I am because of them!!!

Momma and Daddy I love you both so very much, and forever will!!! Yall are my everything! And I thank you so much for everything you ever did for me and every thing you taught me! I appreciate it so much!!!!! Yall are the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Momma may be an Angel in Heaven, but she will forever live on through me and in my heart forever! Daddy will be always be with me too! I'm so thankful I still have him here on earth us!!!

THANK YOU, MOMMA AND DADDY! I LOVE YOU BOTH SO VERY MUCH!!!!!!

Today would have been......

Today, Momma would have turned 67! Wow, it's so hard to think that she left this earth at such a young age, and while she still had so many babies to love on! As we were all a bit sad today, I know that she was up in Heaven having the BEST birthday ever!!! Lil E said to me, "Mommy I hear the very loud drums from Heaven, they are at Mamaw's birthday party!" How sweet of her!!! I am sure there was lots of music going on!

I miss her terribly! Everything about her! Her beautiful blue eyes! The most beautiful soul and heart of anyone I have ever known! And all the fun!! She was lots of fun!! I miss playing cards with her! We would sit up late at night, while visiting each other, playing cards! It was so much fun!!! I am so much like her! I am pretty much just like her in the attitude department and so many other areas. I just hope and pray that I can be half the Mom she was and half the wife she was, and I will be doing something right!

Happy Birthday, Momma/ Mamaw!!! We all love and miss you so much!!!!! I hope you are having the best birthday ever!!!!!!!

Hugs and Blessings,

A place I have been

Day 5 is a picture of somewhere you've been

I really didn't know if I wanted to pick a fairly recent place or some place from years ago. Then I decided I would pick some place we have been recently. We have only taken several mini short trips. Mostly here in Texas.

One of my favorite places has been within a few hour drive from us for the last several years! And I just love it! Palo Duro Canyon! Here's some pictures from two different trips this past year. I hope to go in the fall and winter this coming year! I just love it!

These first group of pictures are from last spring.

And now you are going to see from the summer.

One of my favorite parts of each trip is the wildlife we get to see! Here's a beautiful deer just watching us!

And this beautiful picture below was taken from inside a cave by hubby! If you look close down at the road, to the right you will see a silver van, and that is where I was with 2 sleeping babies!

If you ever are in that part of Texas, you really should stop and take a visit! It's beautiful! And these picture do it NO justice!

bad habits on Day 4

Today it's not my favorite topic.....

day 4- a habit that you wish you didn’t have

It's not hard to know what the one habit, I really wish I didn't have, was! It was a true no BRAINER! I am a worrier! I worry so much! I worry about people and their feelings! If someone I know is not their self, I worry, and often myself sick. If someone I know is being hurt by others, I worry! If someone is having a bad day, yes I worry! I want peace and happiness so bad that I trully worry until I'm sick! So there it is, my biggest habit I would love to change!!! (and I am really working on this).

Snow day picture from childhood!

Today is Day 3. Yeah! It's a peaceful Saturday Morning here! I didn't have many pictures available to use today for this, the ones I had were pics with my cell phone of some pictures. So I am very sorry that it's not a good picture!

day 3 ~ picture of you from childhood

There you have it, a picture of me in the snow, probably around 1980, I am guessing. My love of the snow started long ago! But man look at those clothes and shoes and coat. Well, what you can see of them! It cracks me up!

I just love snow, it's beautiful, magical, and I love to bundle up! I really love how life slows day and usually stop to enjoy life. Well at least were I am, we do when it snows! We have fun days in the snow; making memories that will last a life time!

Job 37:5-7 ~ 5 God’s voice is glorious in the thunder. We can’t even imagine the greatness of his power. 6 “He directs the snow to fall on the earth and tells the rain to pour down. 7 Then everyone stops working so they can watch his power

Happy Saturday to all!

Blog Name

It's day 2 of my 30 Days of Blogging. If you want you may Check out Lovers in a Dangerous Time, for the list of other bloggers doing the 30 days of Blogging.

day 2- the meaning behind your blog name

For me this is very easy!! Blessings Beyond was the name I came up with, because I was truly blessed beyond what I could have ever imagined!!! Even in the hard times, I was covered by God's love and he poured the blessings down on me, my family, our life! So there wasn't anything hard about the name, it was just simply as it says.

So no matter what, I am thankful for God's blessings! He always pours them out and he never leaves or forsakes us!

Numbers 6:24-26
"The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace."

What a difference!

Last night out of the blue, Lil E decided she wanted bangs again. We had decided that we were going to try and let her hair grow back out long, but without bangs. Then she decided she wanted bangs, so I took it upon myself to cut them agian!

Sorry the the cell phone crummy above picture. But you can kinda see..... Then below is two pictures without bangs.

I can't believe how different she looks, but I love how it makes her look younger!!! Maybe because it takes me back a few years!

Hope yall are having a great week!
