Halloween Cupcakes Together

We decided to go ahead and make Halloween cupcakes on Thursday! Nothing too fancy, we just used a Halloween cake mix and the dreaded store bought frosting. But we enjoyed doing it together. We had lots of fun! Even Lil K was much more a part of it this time. Normally she doesn't want any part in the baking and such.

I am totally in love with the above picture of them working together! How sweet!!!!

So we have made the cupcakes. Now today we will be going to a pumpkin patch! I can't wait! I think I'm more excited than the kiddos. Then tomorrow we will be making a special Halloween dinner before trick or treating, with some festive foods! Stay tuned!!!

Hope yall have a wonderful weekend, no matter how you celebrate, have some fun and make it special!

Out of this World Meatloaf ~ Cooking Thursday

I haven't joined in on Cooking Thursday in a while. But I am trying to get back to normal! Click the banner above and it will take you to Diary of a Stay at Home Mom, for more awesome Cooking Thursday recipes!!!!

I am not sure where, but on the internet I found this recipe. It has become our families favorite! I do not even like meatloaf and I LOVE this one!!! Everyone that has tried, has loved it!!! It is really worth trying!

Out of this World Meatloaf!!

2 lbs. lean ground beef
1 box chicken flavored Stove top stuffing
1 small can of tomato sauce
3 T. Worcestershire sauce
2 beaten eggs
1 small minced onion
garlic powder or mince/ pressed garlic clove
Salt and Pepper to taste

In a large mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients, including the stuffing mix. Mix just until combined. Lay slices of bread on the bottom in the middle of your 9 x 13 pan. One single layer row. (I always do this so that it will absorb any extra grease and also keep the bottom from sticking or burning. Form meat into loaf and place on top of the bread. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes, or until it's cooked through. Add glaze and put back in the oven for about 5 to 10 minutes.

Glaze
Mix some ketchup, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce together. Find the right combination and sweetness you like, and then brush on top of the meatloaf for the last 5 to 10 minutes.

Hope you and your family enjoy!

Wordless Wednesday ~ Our Halloween Treats through the years

Man do we have it bad around here????

How bad do we have it, I ask myself?? I can't believe how bad my Lil E really has the racing bug! That girl loves racing, maybe even more than her Momma, and I have to say that is something that I never thought was possible! But, I'm here to say, she may really have it worse than me! What a mess!

Finally here to share those pictures I promised a couple of weeks ago, plus some other new ones. But they go together so well! It's all about racing for her, as you will see below!

Oct 9, it was a nice pretty fall day! After making cookies and all we decided to go outside and play! And guess what is they are playing! Now don't let that wagon full you! It's not just any ole regular wagon, it's Lil E's super fast red race car! And she pulls her sister all around and way fast! Lil K decides often it's too much for her and bails out! Lil E will run as fast as can and it doesn't matter over what terrain!

Since sissy bailed, she takes advantaged of the time, and makes a much needed pit stop.

The bubble mower is now her jack, to raise the car!

She is totally hard at work out there! She has to get it fixed for the next race, she says.

Lil K wants no part of racing with Lil E so he takes the baseball bat and is playing golf! Who would have thought my wild and crazy toddler wouldn't want anything to do with racing with her sister!

Fast forward to Oct 21! Once again, we are super busy racing! But this time it's much more!!!

All I could say was OH MY, I'm in for it!!! Lil K is giving Lil E a push start, just like in the sprints! Then Lil E would race as fast as she could!

They were racing each other for a bit even!!!!

But at this point, I knew, she for sure was much worse than Momma! For the non racers, in sprints we call the the it bicycling when you only are on one side, and let me tell you, this has become her new favorite way to ride, oops I mean race!!! She would keep on and on and ON getting it up on one side!!!! Momma is in trouble here!!!! I foresee a Racer in the making!!! (but really it makes me so happy!!!)

Wait, we aren't done, she parks her race car, and is going to push sister (Lil K) in her car! I'm shocked! But it wasn't but a few inches, and Lil K was bailing out! She isn't a fool, she knows her sister is pretty extreme!

I laughed so hard this day! I couldn't stop! I was hurting I had laughed so much and so hard!!!!!! It was a riot!!!!

Oct 26, and we are at it again!!!! This time, check it out, Lil K is racing with her big sister!!!! Yea!!!!

But now it's time to work on the race cars in the pits again! Now our jack stands are basketballs! What a hoot!!!!

This is the product of hard work on race cars! She let me know she looked just like Daddy and the other people in the pits!

So there you have it! This is how we spend most of our time outside playing! Even if for a few, we usually are playing racing in some way or fashion! And this Momma is beaming with smiles!!! And usually lots of laughs!!!

The girls are my everything, and it makes me so happy to see them be so creative in how they play too!!!

Hope you enjoyed a little glimpse of our backyard racing!

Gotcha 6

I can't even believe it has been 6 years! Time sure flies by!!! One day I gave up the dream of being a mommy, and a very short time later, out of no where, I was BLESSED BEYOND! I was so excited and over joyed to get to see my baby girl for the very first time!!! I landed in the state she was born in, and finally was about to hold my blessing, on this very night, 6 years ago!!!! Here's a few photos over the years!

One of of Lil E's precious moments baby picture!

Enjoying ice cream and cookies on Gotcha day in 2007.

In this little red dress, she was about 16 months old.

She she loved racing as a baby!! She was cheering at the race on tv, in her Momma's favorite onesie of all! 2005 at 7 months old.

At a year old!!! I love this picture! And she still loves rubber ducks and bath time!!!!

Just a random picture from 2007.

One of my favorite photos in 2008! So Lil E, all the way!!!

A most favorite in 2006! I just love the picture, it was not posed at all. And the outfit was one of my all time favorites.

Gotcha 5 in 2009!!! Being silly silly!!!!!! And do you see her shirt says 100% loved!!!!

And now today, Gotcha 6!!!! Being just as silly with the Halloween mask!

I love this most awesome blessing from God more and more each and every day!!! I am so proud that God picked me to be her Mommy! It is a true honor!!!!

At her request we had chocolate mini cupcakes, went to eat dinner at our favorite Mexican Food Place, went to Atwoods and Wal Mart so she could go shopping! Plus had a wonderful time playing and just spending time together!!! The shirt she had on today, was her special gift for Gotcha 6! I think it was a great day for all!

Baby Girl, you make me so proud and happy! And know that I love you always and forever UNCONDITIONALLY!!! I'll be your biggest cheerleader, your greatest fan, I will always have open arms to hold and hug you! I will be and do anything and everything I can for you! I love you, Princess!!! I love you, baby girl!!!

House Hunting

So we learned while away, we would be relocating. So we have been out house hunting. I have gone to the new location a few times with just the girls, and us as a family a few times too. It's full of lots of unknowns.

Here's some random pictures of many different houses we have looked at. And no we do not have a decision yet.

An Orange Laundry Room, and yet this could be so bright and fun!

A very dated, and smaller kitchen, but it would work out well! The house is nice and large and full of space too.

Even the girls managed to have fun while house hunting!!!

And found a few things they loved about different houses! This one being the HUGE "inside pool" bath tub.

I love the red in this living room!

Would I really like a two story house?

Looking into the Kitchen.

I love this porch!!!!

My favorite kitchen and dinning area of all!!!!

So we have been busy out house hunting, and nothing is just right yet. I don't want to move a million more times because we settled, and yet I don't want to give up everything we want either. I keep saying the right place will come about and we will just know it!!! Until then, I am getting color choices and all that good stuff.

Hugs and Blessings,
