a trip to Elk City

While Patti and the boys were visiting, we did a little bit of different sight seeing! We went a few places! One our get aways, was to Elk City, OK. If you ever are there, be sure to check it out! It's a smaller town, but it has lots to offer for such a small town.

We visited the Museum complex and went through all for Museums! They have the National Transportation, National Route 66, Old Town Museum, and Farm and Ranch Museum.

In the transportation Museum, you could drive along in an old car or

Sit for a bit in the old drive in!!! It's my first time in any drive in! Now I need to go to a real one!

While in the transportation Museum, we had to check out the coolest part! The Popeye room!!!

All the kids had a blast sliding down the fireman poll... Even the biggest kid of all!

Then it was time to get some kicks on Route 66! Yes yes, we transitioned through the start of Route 66 to the end! Here's a few pictures to show you a tiny bit of the museum!

Texas Baby!!! Oh yea!!!

Yes, we really did cross the roped off area to get a picture of my cutie pie!!!

Then we took a break outside before we walked around the old towm museum Complex! There was many many neat buildings! An old farm house, Old School House, Doctors office, Bank and much more!

These are a few photos from inside the Old Town Museum House that you can see things in.

Yes yes, momma and her picture crazy girl were really into the old cameras! She wants me to buy some old ones to use! how cute!

Want a perm??? Any takers?

From back when Oklahoma held the National Finals Rodeo!!

And in 1981 Miss Oklahoma was Miss USA!

All aboard!!! Choo choo!!!

My really special and good friend, Patti!

The kiddos in the train car!

Below look up in the window, who do you see???

Then we were in the Farm and Ranch Museum, it was so hot in there, I just had to leave! It was horrible humid and so hot! But we did get a picture of me using and old phone in a phone booth, and a new one too!

After our visits to the Museums, we went for Mexican food for dinner! It was Patti's first time to eat real Mexican food! She loved it!!!

Then we took to the kids to the park there! It was a really awesome park and everyone had so much fun!!!!

If you are ever passing by or in that area, you really should check it out!!!

While away with Our Family

I am doing this as one long post, so beware of all the pictures! But this will tell the story of what we were up to while with my family!

After getting there, the very first pictures I even took, were at the hospital! This is a picture of some of the stuff that was hooked up too, Laura, while she was in ICU! On this day, it was the day after her surgery, and her 22nd Wedding Anniversary!
My focus was totally for her, and I didn't take pictures of anythinge else for a few days. Only the one in ICU and of her and Hubby (that I will not be sharing) for their Anniversary.

Saturday evening, my niece and her family stopped in at my folks for a little visit with us all!! Here are her beautiful girls, my great nieces! These 4 girls play so good together! They are the best of friends! Lil E and Abby and just adore each other! And Lil K and Becca Boo just play so good together too!!! It makes me so happy when we are all together to just sit and watch the girls have fun!
After they left I went to get my girls ready for bed, and much to my surprise, we had some big issues for Lil K! I couldn't believe it, but a place that she was being treated for, had grown in size from small to cover her butt! So we went to the ER! THank you, Tammie, (my niece) for going with us and staying through it all!

The first attempt with any needle, was to draw blood and it went very well! Better than I could have imagined, especially judging it to her sisters times! But mom spoke way to soon!! It was IV time! It didn't go as good, but not terrible! But guess who pulled it out? Lil K! She pulled it right on out of her left hand! So it was time to try the right hand! This time she put up a huge fight! Bless her sweet heart!

After they secured and wrapped up her right hand, she cried and cried to have her other hand done up too! So Aunt Tammie, made her own wrap for Lil K's left hand! And she was so much happier!

After being put into a regular room she was looking at one of my Scentsy books. And wouldn't let anyone look at it!

Finally she was resting!

Now she is finally playing a little bit and even ate after her procedure, thanks to Nana! (Aunt Suzie, you rock!) The girls call my oldest sister Nana, because that is what her grandkids call her.

I love to enjoy the peaceful country life at my parents house! It is awesome!! They had so many butterflies fluttering by each day!
Lil E is looking for the bunny rabbit that hopped under the shed..... Just wait till you see that little cutie!

There he is! Looking around to see where is going to go or if he can get to the garden and eat some veggies!

And I love to watch all the different birds come eat and drink there!

So we decided to take the kids to the park after dinner to feed the ducks and play for a bit! So Nana and I took, the girls and Peyton and headed to the park.

Lil K was busy eating the bread that we had left from dinner that night, instead of feeding the ducks.

All 3 kiddos feeding the ducks.

We love to feed the ducks, and they were so not affraid of us!

Nana / Suzie feeding the ducks too!

Then another night Lil E was outside just blowing bubbles like crazy! It was so hot and humid there! I sure missed my dry heat!

The next Saturday morning, there was like 30 garage / yard sales in their town. So early that Morning we went to some! We did get some little tikes toys, and Becca Boo is sitting in the chair that goes with the desk! That chair swivels and is a huge hit with all the kids.

Also we found this Little Tikes baby bed! And here is Dr Lil E taking good care of her baby! Don't you just love her hair up in rollers? I sure do! Takes me back to being a kid!

Happy Father's Day to my Dad! We love you!!! Here he is with his 2 youngest Grandaughters!

After Church, Mammaw and Grandaddy went to visit Aunt Lala. So Nana and I took the kiddos to the spray park that afternoon.

We love this little spray park! It's full of fun and a great way to cool off on the hot summer days! But better yet, it's free! Can you believe that?

All 3 of them had a wonderful time!!!!

Then we went back to my parents house and Suzie and I cooked up Tacos and rice and she had made a pot of beans! Yummy! It was a nice father's Day dinner, but the girls and I were really missing home and "Daddy/Hubby". We hated he could not be with us.

Now that Laura is actually home, Lil E and I went to stay with her and help her! Although we weren't much help. But we did have time together visiting! And Lil E had fun playing with their dogs! Below she is playing with Gidget!

We even had a great time playing with Conman! My youngest great nephew, Conner, or as Lil E says, Baby Conner! He is too dang cute!!! I love how rolly he is!
Our last night there, Nana and I took Peyton and the girls again to feed the ducks!

I could sit by the water all day every day! I love it! And in the evening or morning time with the sun rise and sun set, there is no great beauty to me!

After feeding the ducks, Lil E and Peyton were busy climbing the Rock Fort!

We returned home for a nice time with Mamaw! I miss playing cards at night with mom! How I wish my family lived near us! But I am glad to be home too! I miss them so much! I love them all! Each and every one of them!!!! But even in the dark and hard times, we made some great memories!

Please continue to pray for both my sisters as they are still dealing with their health issues! I know that God has a plan and I'm trusting him for all good things to come for both of them!! Praising him during each and every battle we come to and through!

Thanks for sticking around while we weren't here for so long!

Early June

It was the 1st weekend of June! (about all we were home). We arrived home late June 4th, to leave out the middle of the next week. Didn't make it home a week even. But that is ok! Here's how we spent those few days! And I'm so thankful we did take the time to enjoy some down time as a family!!!

Saturday we got ready and ran to town, had lunch and then came back home!

We came home to have an afternoon of fun outside! It's our backyard oasis!

We spent our entire afternoon out! And grilled burgers for dinner! It was just the best!!!!
We were back to having fun outside on Sunday afternoon too!

Look who was swimming with the girls???

Little Bitty Bit!

And we have gone from sliding on the slide to jumping off! And Lil E even asked if she could jump from the trampoline! NO WAY, little missy!

We even had some bubblel time fun!!! Who doesn't love bubbles?? I know it's a favorite for all of us!!!

Finally, the snow cone place in town opened up! And Guess who had to go and try it out!!! THey were yummy!!! I have to say, they even put a bit to much syrup on them! But they were yummy!

Then it was time for some more summer fun!!!
We had so much fun playing out!!! Wish we had gone ahead and did the big pool in early spring! Now the one we wanted, it sold out everywhere, so we settled on the little tiny thing for now. (guess since we spent so much time away, it was ok though.)

After our summer starting off with some fun at home, it was time to head out in a panic rush to see my sister, who know had been rushed into emergency surgery!
Hugs and Blessings,

We are back!

Oh my goodness! What a crazy time it has been!!!

We were away at my folks until the very end of June! So it was pure crazy! My sister is healing very slowly and dealing with lots of issues and such coming her way with all the changes and health issues she has.

Then I get home, to learn my other sister (the oldest of us three girls) has melanoma! Now she is going through more testing and such!

When we returned home, we had some vistors arrive too! They left yesterday! So it's been busy since we arrived back. So this is the first week that we have back to "normal" routine and life! So we are trying to get settled back.

I missed everyone and missed keeping up with all the blogs and such!

Hope to see everyone around really soon!

Hugs and Blessings,
