Pray that your husband will enjoy his manliness as he patterns his life after Christ and strong men in the faith. Pray for his physical, emotional, mental, social and spiritual strength. (Eph. 3:16; 1 Peter 2:21; 1 Cor. 10:11)
Ephesians 3:16 (King James Version) 16That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
1 Peter 2:21 (King James Version) 21For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
1 Corinthians 10:11 (King James Version) 11Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
Man what a picture perfect postcard this would make
Of America
It's a high school prom, It's a springstein song, It's a ride in a cheverlet, It's a man on the moon, And fireflies in June, Kids sellin lemonade, It's cities and farms, And open arms. One nation under God, It's America
I love this song so very much! It touches my heart each and every time I hear it, and it makes me proud that I live in this great Country, America! We had went home for a funeral last week on Friday (feb13). It was filled with lots of emotions, and I was proud to see a torn apart family come together for the funeral without any troubles or ill words being spoke. One of my dear friends rode with me, so that the girls and I didn't have to travel so far back and forth alone. So we spent a lot of time talking, laughing, singing, and playing silly games in the car. After the funeral and before we headed home, we knew that it was time for us to let the kids run off some energy! So of course we took them to the park, our favorite park back home. They played so hard! With our trip to the park and stories of the good ole days, it all took me to this great song, and I knew I needed to share it with you all. Our Country is in some really hard times, and so many people have forgotten that it's still the GREATEST Nation on Earth! We really do have so much to be thankful for. It's little things, that we tend to take for granit. We have a Military that is on a volunteer bases, you serve this Country, because you want! So remember that and be sure to say Thank you to all our wonderful Military Men and Women! It's a place where our kids and run free and play! It's a place we can be a family, walk side by side, it's a place we get to teach the Good News, All the Word of God! It's not always perfect, just like the song says, but it one awsome place!!! I'm Proud to be American! God Bless our One Nation Under God!
Here's a few pictures of the kiddos playing in the fire truck at the park! They love it! It's so fun to pretend to drive the truck, to play with all the knobs and gadgets and I tell you, Lil E is always so proud when she is pretending to spray the hose to put out a fire!
Here she is hard at work or play!!! Lil K was playing in the race car as it bounced! She liked it a lot!
Then here it is, Lil E holding a lady bug she caught! Awww, sweet signs of spring!
Lil K didn't care about the toys, for her, this trip was all about the rocks. She loved picking them up and pilling them on the slide and such.
But look, it wasn't only Lil K having fun in the rocks! Lil E and her friend were having so much fun cooking in the rocks too.
Here's a shot of Lil E coming down the slide. It's always a blast.
Then after lots of play time, it was time to head home. We made a few stops on our way home, and one being at Lil E's favorite place, Texas Motor Speedway! She loves to stop and look at the track, and we went in and got Daddy's valentines.
So as our day came to an end, it was time for sweet dreams! But I couldn't help but think, Only In America, could our day have been possible! And this made me so proud!
It was Valentine's and my lil sweeties were dressed for the day! They are both their Daddy and Mine best Lil Valentine's ever! They are our everything! I'm so thankful for them! What a blessing they are! They make each and every day even greater!
Then it was Daytona Time on Sunday!!! (previous post).
Hope yall had a great few days and may we all be Proud to live in our great Country! Remeber, It's America!
Finally it's the big catch up, I have been promising everyone! Can't believe I let it go so long! Feb has been busy and with me being sick, I just haven't been with it.
It started out with Super Bowl Sunday!!! First thing that very morning, I made the family Monkey Bread, and everyone loved it! Then it was off to feed the horses! We all love to feed them carrots. And they love them too. Lil K isn't always sure what to think about the horses, but she does like them.
Then it was inside to see a Pre Show of our own. Lil E was singing and dancing, and playing her guitars for us! She loves it!
And I made Nacho Potato Skins ~ They are toped with grated cheese, and taco meat. Then after it is toasted, you top with nacho cheese sauce, and garnish with lettuce, sour cream, salsa, tomatos, and pepper (as desired). This comes from an old favorite restraunt, Marcos, their Papa's Nacho Skins. All the food was a big hit! We were pulling for the Cards, so our team didn't win, but it was a good game.
Then the week after, we spent lots of time having fun! We did coloring, crafts, trips to the park, picnics, and much more! We had a great week for sure! The kids kept me busy, even just hanging out at home.
This has to be my favorite picture from the week though! Lil E loves to run and play hard at the park! But check out how sweet she was being! She was at the bottom holding her arms out to catch anyone that came down the slide. I can't get over how sweet my Lil E really is! She is so full of love!
A picture of Daddy and his girls! How sweet it is! The 3 most important people in my life! This was a very touching day for our family!
We had a nice weekend! It was fun to spend the day with a friend. She came to keep me company while we were being tested. But God is good and he is answering our prayers. He has a plan, and I know he has made the way!
Last week was a bit slower, but still lots of fun! We had fun hanging out and playing around! We made Valentine's magnets, went to lunch, made Valentines cut out cookies, and just hung out.
Lil E was busy as can be making cookies. They would roll out the cookie dough, cut the cookies, sprinkle them, and ice and sprinkle after baking too. It was lots of fun to see them make their own creations.
Then it was time for Lil K's newest thing to come to life! She will come at you, and growl and roar to get you, and then just laugh! It's too funny! She is so full of personality! She keeps us all laughing for sure! She loves to do everything big sister is doing, and big sis, wants Lil K to be a tiny baby.
Does it get much sweeter than little ones laying down all cuddles up? It is just too sweet for words!
After a lil nap, it was time to go outside and play at our friends. Lil K found the hulla hoop and started playing with it. Guess she watches Mommy hulla hoop on the wii! hehehe!
Then it was time for Lil E to drive with the bike game. She was driving and decided while still driving she needed to check this other thing out, but kept on driving! Her daddy says, she has been watching mommy too much. But I assure you, It hasn't been a computer. It's changing cd's and fiddling with the radio for me. But I do believe she has watched mom a bit.
Then it was time to cruise on out of there, and head home. Isn't that a cool car, and to think, my friends lets the kiddos play in it all the time. She found it at a yard sale for $5. What a neat find. We had to get ready for the big day of travel the very next day! On Friday we were traveling back home and returning the same day, so we could be with Daddy for Valentines!
All is well here, I am getting better, and the kiddos have kept me busy! I am sorry we stayed away with much of the updates. Know yall were in our thoughts and prayers. By the time I would get the kids in bed at night, I was ready for bed myself. I spent the nights coughing, so it was a very restless time with not much sleep. With the drought this year, the allergies have really been bad. Stay well!

It's the big day!!! It's the kick off of race season! It's the ..........
Daytona 500!!!
We are all excited and getting so ready to watch the big race! Being a racing family, with racing in the blood, it's a big part of who we are! We love racing! That would be a big reason, Lil K's middle name is Daytona! :) Just thought I'd share that with everyone. We are all in Dale Earnhardt (#3) gear! It's a Daytona tradition!
We are having our usual, Taco, Taquitos, chips and dips. We will have Finish Line Taco Dip and Rotel Cheese Dip. It is always so fun!
Here's a pic of my favorite chip and dip plate! It was a gift to us, last year. We love it so much!
Finish Line Taco Dip
1 block of cream cheese, softened
1 can of refried beans
1 pkg of taco seasoning
2 - 4 cloves of garlic, pressed
4 -5 green onions, chopped
1/4 c. of fresh cilantro or 1/8 c of dried cilantro
2 cups grated cheese
1/2 can of sliced olives
mix the cream cheese, beans, taco seasoning, garlic, green onions, and cilantro all together until smooth. Pour into a microwave safe dish (I use the pampered chef deep dish). Top with grated cheese, and make the finish line with the olives. Microwave for 8 to 10 minutes until the cheese is nice and bubbly. Serve with tortilla chips or fritos.
Now you may ask who are are rooting on today! There isn't just one! I know there is one winner, but we don't have just one die hard favorite anymore! So here's a few ~
Daddy ~ Dale Jr Lil E (And by t he way, that is why her nick name is Lil E, as that is what they called Dale Jr in the early days.) ~ Stewartk (as she says) Lil K ~ wish we could pick, Mommy will pick Happy Harvick for her! (and we had a cat that we named Happy Harvick that Lil K loves, we gave him to my sister, as James is allergic to cats.) Mommy~ Rowdy Kyle Busch, Tony Smoke Stewart, Ryan Newman, or I have to say the dirt track is coming out in me, and with this I'm saying Clint Bowyer!
So it will be interesting to say the least! I hope the weather hold out in Daytona so we can enjoy some racing! May God keep them all safe today!
